Pensacola East Snorkeling Reef
New reef placed off of Pensacola Beach in 15 feet of water.
Shot about an hour before sunset. The usually crystal clear waters, had a bit of green algae floating around on this evening.
Reef has not been in place very long, but is drawing plenty of life.
This is an easily accessable spot to get in a great shore dive.
Cave Diving - Vortex and Morrison Springs 4.6.18
A few weeks ago, my college/scuba buddy and I took a road trip to Ponce de Leon, Florida, for my very first cave diving experience at Vortex Springs and Morrison Springs. This was definitely the most exciting dive experience I have ever been apart of (in addition to the Oriskany). Just a side note: cave diving can be extremely dangerous, even for those who are experienced cave/dive masters of 20 years plus. I can assure you that my dive buddy and I are on the same page and do not leave site of the cave entrance. It may appear we are deep in the caves, but a quick turn around behind us is the exit. We would never do anything to endanger ourselves beyond our own advanced certified limits. We were maybe 50 feet in, while others sometimes go 300 feet in. This video was taken with my GoPro and there are moments of darkness until the flashlight was shining directly. So enjoy! // “Sunny” - Royalty Free Music from Bensound @ bensound.com
