This is the north end of the southern section of the Ma and Pa Trail in Bel Air, Maryland. The northern section is nearby in Forest Hill which is where I live.

Ma & Pa RR Stations in Maryland (with classic pix)
NOTE: I uploaded this just as YT joined Google+. For some reason it's not allowing me to answer comments! But a big Thanx to all those viewing...and commenting! Hopefully YT can fix their mess!!
Here are all remaining Ma & Pa RR stations south of the Mason-Dixon!
I had to catch the first of them, Homeland, on the fly! It's a private home and I doubt the residents would be big on me setting up a tripod and photographing away (though, I would figure, they'd expect it to a certain extent)!
Then, like it or not, we view two stations shown in a previous vid (Glen Arm and Hydes). This way my viewers don't have to go to another vid to view them!
Then on to Vale Station, which is unfortunately in decrepid state! Here some realigning of the main was done, moving it further from the station! I included a photo showing both alignments. The Vale freight station also still exists and is used now as a home.
Wet then check out one section of the Ma & Pa Trail in the Bel Air area. The Bel Air station is gone, but again I threw in a couple classic pix!
The last remaining station, going north, is Forest Hill-fortunately still there, and being upkept! It now serves as a hobby shop, but was a lawyer's office for a while in the 1980s. And the sign disallowing commuter parking for a RR no longer operating is still there!
These are all the MD stations that are left unfortunately! The next ones are in Pennsylvania, and will be featured in a later vid. However, you can view one now! The Muddy Creek Forks PA station:

The Liriodendron Mansion, Bel Air, MD
The Liriodendron is located in the heart of Bel Air at 502 W. Gordon Street. This gorgeous mansion has been a part of Bel Air for over 100 years. Once a summer home of Johns Hopkins founder Dr. Howard Kelly, it now hosts weddings and conferences, as well as an art gallery. Surrounded by woods, the Liriodendron sits on terraced lawns with beautiful gardens and fountain areas. The Ma & Pa Rail-to-Trail is accessible from the grounds, also!

MA & PA Trail Rally
On October 22, the MA & PA Heritage Trail group held a rally to show support for connecting the two segments to create an 8-mile trail in Harford County Maryland.
A Tribute to Jesse
Last Oct. 26 in the afternoon, along with a couple of friends, Jesse collapsed while resting after finishing a segment of a sustained climb, he never recovered, he went into Cardiac Arrest and died. I've been riding with him since 2012, met him and his friends at Little Gunpowder State Park mountain bike trails. These are some pics I gathered all these years, you'll be missed Jesse. RIP.

In August 2009, Bel Air High School moved into a new building. Bel Air High School is located, as it has been since the opening of the Bel Air Academy in 1815, in the county seat of Harford County. For more than 185 years, Bel Air has educated thousands of students who have gone on to further education at the collegiate and technical levels as well as employment and military service.
Consistently through the years, approximately 81 percent of our students are University of Maryland high school qualifiers. Upon graduation, 85 percent of our students plan to attend college, three percent plan to enter technical or specialized education, and 10 percent plan to enter the work force and/or military.
During the course of four years, Bel Air High School students are able to take 32 classes while accumulating the 26 required for graduation in Maryland. This full-inclusion, comprehensive program leads to Advanced Placement (AP) classes in art, English, languages, mathematics, science, and social studies for nearly one-third of the 1,600-plus students. Of those taking the AP tests, our students achieve at a 70 percent success rate. Due to this strong academic focus, Bel Air High School consistently exceeds the local, state, and national averages on achievement tests.

Weekends are for me and my dog. We get out on the Ma & Pa Trail for a long, relaxing hike. Please exuse me being goofy with my dog, but I'm happy when we are together. I work full time and we both need our time and exercise.
