HIKING MAKAPU'U TIDE POOLS - WAIMANALO - OAHU - HAWAII

Oahu, Hawaii | Makapu`u Point Lighthouse Trail | Kaiwi State Scenic Shoreline
Walking on the paved trail of Kaiwi State Scenic Shoreline all the way to the top where Makapu`u Lighthouse is located.
The Phantom 3 went airborne for 10 minutes just to capture some couple pass by shots on top of the Lighthouse an land it right away due to some unpredictable gust of wind mid flight. The Evo Gimbal was used most of the time through out our journey and in the video. :D
Makapu'u Beach
Makapuʻu is the extreme eastern end of the Island of Oʻahu in the Hawaiian Islands, comprising the remnant of a ridge that rises 647 feet (197 m) above the sea. The cliff at Makapuʻu Point forms the eastern tip and is the site of a prominent lighthouse. The place name of this area, meaning bulging eye in Hawaiian, is thought to derive from the name of an image said to have been located in a cave here called Keanaokeakuapōloli.
All of the rocky shoreline and pocket beaches between the sea cliffs at Makapuʻu Point and the State Research Pier (Makai Pier) are beach parks open to the public. Wave conditions at Kaupō (western end) are more suited to young beach-goers and poor swimmers. Makapuʻu Beach is a popular body-surfing beach, but the shore break can be dangerous.

(Makapuu Point)
Makapuu Point
住所:Kalanianaole Hwy, Waimanalo Beach, HI 96795

Laie Point, Oahu Hawaii
Laie Point State Wayside Park lies on a peninsula in the town La'ie on Oahu's northeastern shore. Parking is extremely limited, as the entrance is at the end of a residential dead end. Be mindful of the residents when parking, and also of the fact that the adjacent land to the park is privately owned. There’s no water fountains or restrooms in the park.
