Located in Manatee County, Holmes Beach is the largest of three Island communities on Anna Maria Island, which is found on the Gulf of Mexico just south of the mouth of Tampa Bay.
Bordered on the north by Anna Maria and on the south by Bradenton Beach, Holmes Beach boasts three miles of gorgeous white, sandy beaches. The city also offers easy access to the Intracoastal Waterway which traverses Anna Maria Sound. Holmes Beach has a latitude of 27.5015 and a longitude of -82.7123.

Manatee Beach, located at the end of Manatee Ave. at Anna Maria Island, is a large public beach with free parking, concessions, lifeguards, restrooms, picnic tables and showers.
Anna Maria Island is a barrier island on Florida’s Gulf Coast. It's known for its broad beaches, like Manatee Beach Park. In the small resort city of Anna Maria, Pine Avenue is lined with shops, galleries and eateries. Anna Maria Island Historical Society Museum features a restored 1920 cottage. Nearby, the wooden City Pier dates from 1911. In Bradenton Beach City, Bridge Street Market sells food, art and jewelry.

We went to Manatee public beach located in Holmes Beach, it is the end of Manatee Ave. State road 64. There's a free parking that handles 120 parking spots. The amenities are quite plenty they have showers, bathrooms, changing stations, a picnic area with tables, playgroung for kids, a volleyball court and a lifegaurd. We ate at the Anna Maria Cafe and we had Fish and Chips Platter it was so good!
Hot dog sandwich is quite dry.
The Taco salad was great though.
The Hamburger for me was aweful! Super dry! But they have an unlimited coffee which is nice while watching the sunset.
If you like a laid back peaceful beach experience this is the one for you! Very relaxing, they say it's more laid back than Clear water beach.
