Consider it as Kerala Water Villas or Kerala Floating Resort, Aquatic Floating resort is one amazing place to visit in Kochi. Backwaters make Kerala a very special destination in the world. Watching migratory birds or canoeing in the serene waters, Kerala has some extraordinary things to do on its backwaters. I visited Kumbalangi village for exploring the most accessible backwater village from Kochi. In Kumbalangi village I enjoyed the serene view of palm fringed lake shores and wide spread backwaters.
Kumbalangi village is just 10 kilometers from Kochi. In Kumbalangi resort, I happened to see the first floating Resort on backwaters of Kerala. 10 uniformly constructed floating cottages have 3 floors each. The top floor is a balcony where you can enjoy soothing breeze and colorful sunsets. If it is during the season of migratory birds, bird watching can be a perfect entertainment from this balcony.
The cottage has two more floors. The middle one is a neatly organized living room with elegant furniture while the basement is a bath-attached bedroom, half way under the backwater. The floating resort has a beautiful loan and many other facilities to explore and experience.
The tariff here is Rs. 7,500.00 per night.

Munroe Island Kollam Video | Canoeing in Ashtamudi Lake Kollam
Munroe Island Kollam or Mundrothuruthu is an enchanting backwater destination of Kerala. At the confluence of Kallada River and Ashtamudi Lake, the island is accessible by well connected roads and water navigation networks. There is also a railway station at Munroe Island. This is my experience of canoeing in Ashtamudi Lake or boating at Ashtamudi Lake. Munroe Island is also known as Mundrothuruth.
What to do in Munroe Island?
If you are visiting Munroe or Munro Island, there are a lot of engaging activities that you can take pleasure from. Some of the most common activities that you can enjoy are:
1. Canoeing (This video is about canoeing at Munro island)
2. Coir village visits
3. Nature walks
4. Fishing
5. Local interactions
6. Prawns feeding
7. Learning Kerala Cooking
8. Just relax on the lake shore
Where to stay in Munroe Island?
The island has a few good options for stay and dine. However, you cannot expect luxurious five star hotels or resorts here. There are very good homestay facilities and a few farm houses and smaller resorts.
This video is my experience at Munro Island. I was visiting this place with my family and parents. We enjoyed canoeing in Kallada River, Feeder canals of Ashtamudi Lake, and the vaster Ashtamudi Lake. The view of Kallada river in the morning and Ashtamudi lake with a few fishermen were exciting while our sail through mangrove forest and prawns fields was thrilling.

SUMMARY
=======
South India is the area including the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana as well as the union territories of Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Puducherry, occupying 19% of India's area (635,780 km2 or 245,480 sq mi). Covering the southern part of the peninsular Deccan Plateau, South India is bounded by the Bay of Bengal in the east, the Arabian Sea in the west and the Indian Ocean in the south. The geography of the region is diverse with two mountain ranges — the Western and Eastern Ghats, bordering the plateau heartland. Godavari, Krishna, Kaveri, Tungabhadra and Vaigai rivers are important non-perennial sources of water. Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Coimbatore and Kochi are the largest urban areas.
The majority of the people in South India speak one of the four major Dravidian languages: Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. During its history, a number of dynastic kingdoms ruled over parts of South India whose invasions across southern and southeastern Asia impacted the history and culture in those regions. Major dynasties that were established in South India include the Cheras, Cholas, Pandyas, Pallavas, Satavahanas, Chalukyas, Rashtrakutas and Vijayanagara. Europeans entered India through Kerala and the region was colonised by Britain and other nations.
After experiencing fluctuations in the decades immediately after Indian independence, the economies of South Indian states have registered higher than national average growth over the past three decades. While South Indian states have improved in some socio-economic metrics, poverty continues to affect the region much like the rest of the country, although it has considerably decreased over the years. HDI in the southern states is high and the economy has undergone growth at a faster rate than most northern states. Literacy rates in the southern states are higher than the national average with approximately 80% of the population capable of reading and writing. The fertility rate in South India is 1.9, the lowest of all regions in India.
