From WKRN:
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - It's quickly becoming the king of celebrity “bling,” and you don't have to go to Hollywood or Vegas to get it.
It's called King Baby, a high-end jewelry studio that has several locations, including one the Gulch in Nashville.
Founder and jewelry designer Mitchell Binder uses rare materials, such as ivory that is tens of thousands of years old.
He also uses sterling silver, previous stones, and 18 karat gold.
“I sell my jewelry to people like Keith Urban,” Binder told News 2.
Other stars that wear his jewelry include Miranda Lambert, Florida Georgia Line, Taylor Swift and Brantley Gilbert.
Binder handcrafts his jewelry in Nashville.
“You know, I think it's really important that we continue to make our jewelry in the USA and specifically in Nashville because I think it's a lost art,” he said, “and I think it's important we continue the tradition of handcrafting jewelry.
Binder hand selects and trains local artisans to help take his designs from concept to completion.
He also has stores in California and Las Vegas, but chose Nashville as his third location because of the city's vibe, namely music.
“I feel a great kinship to musicians,” Binder explained. “I've been working with them for so long and this is their home.”
