One can take boat for Vypin/Fort kochi from Ernakulam Jetty.

Being a cinematographer, tours and travels become a part of my life. So, the idea came to my mind to tell you about my travel stories.
My travel to KOCHI, a major port city by the Arabian sea, started with the unavailability of railway tickets. So, I look forward to travel by the ANTODAYA EXPRESS. It was a newly introduced train by Indian railways with completely unreserved coaches. Howrah to Ernakulum, one of the busiest and longest route in the railways. I was astonished by seeing the cleanness and the facilities on the train. Well, mobile charging points are common now, but water purifier inside the coach is really a welcoming step by railways.
Anyways I finally reached at Ernakulum station after nearly 32 hours journey. My kochi darsan starts with Marine drive.
Marine drive is a busiest place with so many shopping malls and markets. The walkway is a popular hangout for the local people and the tourists. The main tourist attraction here is the rainbow bridge, boat house bridge, the cruises, and the scenic view. Cruises available for parties, functions, and various celebrations. I saw the sunset and back to Ernakulum at night.
Opps, I also enjoyed few moments in the Kochi metro from Edapally to Pallarivattom. The metro inaugurated just a month ago by our PM, Mr. Modi. Although, metro is effective, but the kochi people better loves the ferry service.
Government had initiated the ferry service from Fort kochi to Vypin and Mattencherry to Ernakulum. The low cost ferries become the life line of Kochi on the sea.
We can see so many old houses in Fort Kochi, which were built during the Portuguese, Dutch and British regime. The Portuguese explorer Vasco-da-gama was buried in the St. Francis Church of Fort Kochi.
The Cheena Vala, commonly known as Chinese fishing nets are the bigger fishing nets are seen widely. The big over stretched nets suspended over the sea, by the ropes. It really has a photogenic look that attracts the photographers.
After spending sometime at the lovely Arabian sea, I walked towards the Mattencherry palace or the Dutch palace. But unable to shoot much here, I was running out of time to catch the return train.
