Passenger port of St.Petersburg located on Vasilyevsky Island, which is only 15-minutes drive from the city center, has been put into operation in 2008. To date it is not only the most modern passenger port in Russia, but also one of the top cruise ports in the world. It can simultaneously receive up to 7 cruise vessels with maximum length of 340 meters. It has 4 terminals that can receive up to 18 000 passengers per day, accommodated with all kinds of facilities for cruise passengers.

New Sea Passenger port is an under-construction port in Gulf of Finland on the Baltic Sea in St. Petersburg, Russia. It is located on new alluvial territories of Sea Facade. Officially the port has no name yet, a section on the official site has the name port.[1] The last document of the Saint Petersburg City Administration names the area the sea passenger terminal on Vasilevsky island.[2]
Construction chronology
In 2006
Marine facade Company has built:
35 hectares of reclaimed land;
The technological channel on water area of seaport for building of moorings;
Access technological road;
The dividing dam.
In 2007
By July, 28th the educational sailing vessel named Young Baltiets was moored at berth number seven.[3]
In 2008
Two moorings, building the cruise terminal and coastal constructions necessary for work are constructed and transferred in the summer.[1]
On September, 10th, 2008 the port accepted the first passenger cruise liner a 16-deck Italian vessel named Costa Mediterranea.[1]
In 2009
On August a hydrofoil line to Peterhof and Winter Palace was started.[4]
In 2011
Work on the passenger port has been completed.[5]

Norwegian Breakaway is a cruise ship operated by Norwegian Cruise Line. Construction of Norwegian Breakaway began on 21 September 2011, when the first piece of steel was cut at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. She was delivered to NCL on 25 April 2013. Following the handover, Norwegian Breakaway left the port of Bremerhaven, heading for Rotterdam. Following several inaugural events, she started her transatlantic cruise from Southampton to New York City, where the naming ceremony took place. On 12 May 2013 she headed to Bermuda to start her seven-day cruises.
She is 146,600 GT in size, and has capacity for 3,963 passengers, double occupancy. The ship has a total of 1,024 staterooms and 238 suites, designed by Priestmangoode and Tillberg Design.
Norwegian Breakaway is home ported at the New York Passenger Ship Terminal in Manhattan, making seven-night cruises to Bermuda (May thru Sept) and seven-night cruises to the Bahamas & Florida (October thru April). She is the largest cruise ship homeported year-round from New York City.
The ship, along with her sister Norwegian Getaway, was named through a public contest; Kimberly Powell submitted the name Norwegian Breakaway, which was announced on 14 September 2011. The ship's godmothers are the New York dancing troupe The Rockettes.
Onboard features include a restaurant, Ocean Blue, by Geoffrey Zakarian, and a comedy club, named Headliners, where a Second City company performs. Peter Max designed the hull art.
At launch Norwegian Breakaway was the world's ninth largest cruise ship.

Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg is the first and only specialized passenger port in the North-West of Russia and also the largest one in the Baltic region. The Port is located on the reclaimed territories of Vasilievsky Island. The port complex includes seven berths with a total length of 2,171.06 meters, three cruise terminals and one combined cruise-ferry terminal. Passenger port of Saint Petersburg can receive cruise ships of up to 340 meters in length.
Construction of a new port in Nevskaya Guba began in 2005, and already in September 2008 the Port received its first ship with passengers on board. The port construction project was realized through public-private partnership in accordance with the Law of St. Petersburg. Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg Marine Façade PLC is the only marine terminal operator at the Port.
