Is This The Scariest Bridge In America?
The Chesapeake Bay Bridge in Maryland reaches nearly 200 feet in certain parts and measures 4.3-miles long from end to end - and for some motorists, getting behind the wheel and driving across the bridge is simply out of the question.

Full Obituary:
Joseph H. Harrington III
1927 - 2015 DORSET, VT. Joseph H. Harrington III passed away peacefully at his North Port, FL home on Jan. 19, 2015. Born on June 29, 1927, Joe grew up in Dorset VT. He was the son of Joseph H. Harrington II and Anne (Pettibone) Harrington. Joe attended Burr and Burton Seminary until he left to join the United States Navy in 1944. He later acquired his High School diploma. As a young man from Vermont, Joe was shocked by the poor treatment of the sailors who were of color during this time of segregation. His commanding officer was African American, and Joe served as a lifeguard for the African American families at the Pensacola Naval Base during his training. The rest of his war service was aboard the USS Astoria. Upon his discharge from the Navy, Joe attended the Paul Revere School of Aeronautics in Patterson, NJ. He returned to Manchester, VT and began his life long career at the Manchester Center Post Office. He married Lorraine Perry on April 30th, 1955. Joe was an avid hunter and fisherman who was happiest chasing white tail deer and trout fishing. He was a founding member of the Dorset Sportsman's Club and a life time member of Trout Unlimited. Community Service was very important to him. He was the first president of the Manchester Little League and served for 34 years on the Manchester Fire Department, with four of those years as Chief. He was also active in the Dorset Players, as his parents had been founders. He was a Free Mason and past master of the Adoniram Lodge #42. Joe was a member and past commander of the Dorset American Legion, and the Harned Fowler Post VFW of Manchester Center. After retiring and moving to Florida, Joe joined the Sahib Shriners of North Port, FL and the North Port Amvets. He also enjoyed his membership in the US Navy Cruiser Sailors Association. A particular highlight of Joe's Florida retirement was being able to travel with his fellow WW2 veterans to Washington, D.C. as part of the Southwest Florida Honor Flight. They visited the war memorial and several other sites. He was a lifetime history buff, and this trip was very important to him. He never lost his interest in politics, and he was glad to live to see the first African American president of the United States despite him being a member of the wrong political party. He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Lorraine. He is also survived by his four children; Jodi, Nikki, Joseph IV, and John. He has seven grandchildren; Eric, Amian, Eli, Perry, Quinn, Joe V and Mia. He has one great-granddaughter; Fiona. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert. Donations in his name may be made to the Manchester Fire Fighters Association, PO Box 612, Manchester Ctr., VT. A spring service and burial will be held in Manchester, VT at a date to be announced.

WHO WE ARE: We are a team of non-denominational volunteers dedicated to sharing the last message of mercy given in the Bible and the wonderful news of the soon second coming of Yahushua. We started this online ministry in 2004 as a result of past years of prayer and research.
The Bible is our rule of faith and striving to obey the promptings of Yahuwah's Spirit and the teachings of His word inspires us to call attention to its truths. We believe that Yahuwah does indeed reveal Himself to all those who search for Him with all their heart (Jeremiah 29:13).

STORYLINE
US President George W Bush travelled to northern Israel on Friday to visit Christian holy sites in Galilee on the third and final day of his visit to Israel and the Palestinian territories.
The presidential motorcade was filmed arriving on Friday at the Capernaum ruins on the shores of the Sea of Galilee.
Earlier, Bush had tears in his eyes during an hour-long tour of Israel's Holocaust memorial and told Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice that the US should have bombed Auschwitz to halt the killing, the memorial's chairman Avner Shalev said.
Bush emerged from a tour of the Yad Vashem memorial calling it a sobering reminder that evil must be resisted, and praising victims for not losing their faith.
Later, Bush will depart for Kuwait, the next stop on his Mideast tour.

a few tricks over the Memorial Bridge
Crossing the Memorial Bridge from West Springfield to Springfield can be intimidating for a cyclist who is not accustomed to riding assertively and can be confusing for a cyclist who is not familiar with the neighborhood. However, with the proper skills, it is easy and nothing to be afraid of. However, there are two tricky elements that you should know about.
The first tricky element is the rotary at the west end of the bridge. This rotary consists of a single very wide lane. Staying too close to the outside will result in motorists failing to yield to you when they enter (drive-out) or exit (right hook) the rotary, but staying too far from the outside will make it difficult to exit the rotary, since you will have to yield to traffic passing you on the right. I find that the best position is far enough from the center island to enable motorists to pass on the left, but no farther, so that other drivers exiting the rotary will not be tempted pass on the left and cut in front of you. This is approximately the middle of the lane, but it is not a lane control position because the lane is so wide.
The second tricky element is West Columbus Avenue, at the east end of the bridge, It is a southbound one-way street that runs along the river, and it has an erratic lane configuration. It provides the fastest route from the bridge to State Street. When you turn right onto West Columbus Avenue from the Memorial Bridge, you will see three lanes. If you are a timid cyclist, you might be tempted to stay in the right lane, but then you will have to change lanes later when you want to turn left. If you are a confident cyclist but unfamiliar with this street, you might be tempted to move immediately into the left lane. However, the left lane goes into the parking garage, so the middle lane is the correct one to use if you want to turn onto State Street. After the entrance to the parking garage, this lane widens. Also the right lane splits into two. You might again be tempted to keep left in preparation for a left turn. However, the left side of what is now the left lane turns onto the I-91 northbound entrance ramp. So you must keep to the right of what is now the left. After the ramp, this lane become the left-turn lane for State Street. So you are exactly where you wanted to be, and you never had to do any side-to-side maneuvering.
Crossing The Champlain Bridge (also known as the Crown Point Bridge)
The Champlain Bridge (also known as the Crown Point Bridge) was a 2,184 feet (666 m) long vehicular bridge in the United States that traversed Lake Champlain between Crown Point, New York and Chimney Point, Vermont. It was one of only two bridges that connected New York to Vermont by crossing Lake Champlain; all other transport across the lake between the two states is by ferry. The bridge connected NY 185 in New York to VT 17 in Vermont. The half-mile, two-lane, continuous truss bridge was jointly owned and maintained by the New York State Department of Transportation and the Vermont Agency of Transportation.
It was opened to traffic in 1929 as a toll bridge; the tolls were removed in 1987. The bridge was closed due to safety concerns in October 2009. Removal of the Champlain Bridge was accomplished by explosive demolition on December 28, 2009.

Middlesex Freeway (Interstate 287) Exits 47 to 57 Northbound
Interstate 287 (I-287) is an auxiliary Interstate Highway in the US states of New Jersey and New York. It is a partial beltway around New York City, serving the northern half of New Jersey and the counties of Rockland and Westchester in New York. I-287, which is signed north–south in New Jersey and east–west in New York, follows a roughly horseshoe-shaped route from the New Jersey Turnpike (I-95) in Edison Township, New Jersey, clockwise to the New England Thruway (I-95) in Rye, New York, for 98.72 miles (158.87 km). Through New Jersey, I-287 runs west from its southern terminus in Edison through suburban areas. In Bridgewater Township, the freeway takes a more northeasterly course, paralleled by U.S. Route 202 (US 202). The northernmost part of I-287 in New Jersey passes through mountainous surroundings. After crossing into New York at Suffern, I-287 turns east on the New York State Thruway (I-87) and runs though Rockland County. After crossing the Hudson River on the Tappan Zee Bridge, I-287 splits from I-87 near Tarrytown and continues east through Westchester County on the Cross-Westchester Expressway until it reaches the New England Thruway.
