Have you even noticed how beautiful could be to see this place from bird's view?
Welcome to Springfield Castle, the ancestral home of Lord and Lady Muskerry. The castle is situated in the heart of County Limerick on a magical 200 acre wooded estate and is approached along a magnificent three quarter mile long avenue, lined with ancient lime trees.
Amazing views and wonderful people. Pleasure to do business in places like this.
Special thanks to Sykes' family members who helped in the development of this project.

The Temple Bar of Limerick? 1998
Major development for Limerick as Cornmarket Row is to become a new commercial space for the city.
The planned £22 million development aims to revitalise one of the oldest parts of Limerick City. Developers say that they want to create Limerick’s Temple Bar in the Cornmarket Row area of the city.
The area is a one and a half acre site bordered by four streets close to the city’s market. Under the new plans, the area is to be transformed into Cornmarket Square. The development includes a multi-storey car park with 700 spaces, 52,000 square feet of commercial space, and 44 apartments.
The new development is being billed as the Temple Bar of Limerick.
The site has been completely cleared and Gable Developments claim that the old buildings were beyond preservation. Pat Kearney of the Limerick Chamber of Commerce says that the buildings were “beyond redemption”.
Tadgh O’Brien, Managing Director with Gable Holdings, believes that Limerick is ahead of Cork in attitude and investment in the redevelopment of the city.

Victorian Quarter, Cork - MacCurtain St
The area around MacCurtain Street is Cork city's Victorian Quarter, with a range of impressive residential and commercial buildings dating to the 19th century. Today, these structures house antique shops, artisan foodstores, music shops and award-winning restaurants. This short film features a selection of these establishments.
Soundtrack: J.S. Bach - Concerto for 2 Violins, Strings, Basso Continuo, Orchestra.
One of the more notable residents of the area in modern times was the great bluesman Rory Gallagher (1948-1995), who bought his famous sunburst Fender guitar in Crowley's Music store on MacCurtain Street.
The following notes are taken from the website of the Irish Georgian Society, Cork Chapter:
The Metropole Hotel opened on MacCurtain Street in Cork on 21 June 1897. It was built by the Musgrave family, and designed by well-known Cork architect Arthur Hill. The Musgraves were total abstainers from alcohol and the hotel did not apply for a liquor license until 1956. The family were proud that the hotel was the first unlicensed hotel in Ireland. Douglas Vance, who managed the hotel from 1944 until 1982, persuaded the Musgraves that a license to serve alcohol was necessary for a modern hotel.
Trinity Presbyterian Church, a Gothic-revival church was designed by Colin Tarring around 1860. Interesting features include stained glass and a 1904 pipe organ.
The Everyman Palace Theatre began life as an ordinary house built about 1840 but was converted to Dan Lowery's 'Palace of Varieties' in 1897, designed by R.H. Brunton. It was used as a cinema between 1930 and 1988, re-opening as a theatre in 1990.
The Baptist Church was opened in 1892. Its main architectural features are the unusual tower and carving over the entrance, the pitch pine doors with ornate metal work, and the leaded windows facing the street. In 1908 electricity was installed in the building at a cost of 9 pounds. In 1979 the upper floor was constructed to allow for greater use of the building through the provision of extra facilities downstairs. Internal features of interest include the pulpit, the table located in front of the pulpit upstairs and the baptistery located in the main hall downstairs
