The Artisans of St. Jacobs, Ontario
Fine hand-made quilts top the list here, although the little Village is a favorite destination for crafts, fashions, antiques, and more! Youll find over 100 one-of-a-kind shops, many housed in carefully restored 19th century buildings. The streets themselves are landscaped to resemble works of art. The cornerstones are buildings that include the old Mill, which is today a maze of shops on every floor. Often, the subject matter for the artwork is local history and Mennonite culture.

Hot Apple Fritters in St George, Ontario
On a day trip to St.George for some massages, we took turns watching the kids. On my watch I took them in search of a coffee house that came highly recommended. They are especially famous for their hot apple fritters. Tansleys coffee emporium also has a huge collection of antiques.

This small museum offers a pleasurable look at the history of making maple syrup in Ontario. Canada.
The community of St. Jacobs is located in southwest Ontario, just north of Waterloo in Woolwich Township, Waterloo Region. It is a popular location for tourism, due to its Mennonite heritage and retail focus. The Conestogo River, which powered the village's original gristmill, runs through the village. St. Jacobs has a growing population of 1,891 people.
