ORIGINAL US Traction South Tower Elevators - Renaissance North Shore Hotel in Northbrook, IL
Now here's the south tower elevators that still have the original US Elevators! The two cars on the right serve up to 10 floors while the two on the left only serve up to 8.
MY THOUGHTS:
Well, I kinda wish that both towers would still have the original elevators, but I still got to at least enjoy the south tower elevators that are still original. The north tower elevator configuration is a bit weird in terms of its doors. The two cars on the end are a single slide that face away from each other while the one in the middle is center-opening, which is kinda weird. Other than that, these cabs do look pretty nice, with the exception of the passenger/service car that's on the very right. The south tower elevators are also pretty good and I really like watching the scrolling floor indicator. Anyways, I do hope that the hotel doesn't do anything with the south tower elevators anytime soon.

An Awful, yet Hilarious Ride on the Dovis Hydraulic Elevators - Williams St. Garage in Rosemont, IL

Here's one of the garages in downtown Rosemont. This particular garage contains Dovers that were modded by Otis. As you can tell by the title and the thumbnail, it looks like I'm in for a wild ride on these.
MY THOUGHTS:
Well, these elevators are nuts, in terms of how they operate. The car on the left runs okay, but the other two are death traps. The car on the right makes a pretty loud bang on almost every floor it passes by and I can pretty much feel that banging noise. It's definitely not hitting the interlock so idk where that creepy sound is coming from. The middle car is definitely the worst out of the other two, it also makes a pretty loud noise and instead of a bang, it's more of a loud screech, almost as if it sounded like someone breaking wind. On the bright side, I really like the mood light that changes colors in the cabs. It would be better if the colors change depending on what floor it's stopping/passing by.

Cardboard boxes are a really big deal in the U.S. Amazon alone shipped over 5 billion packages through Prime in 2017. But as Amazon moves to plastic mailers and paper mailers the corrugated box market is bracing for the fallout.
There are other players in the space but today the four big cardboard box manufacturers that dominate the market are International Paper, WestRock, Packaging Corporation of America and Georgia-Pacific.
