MTB Hot Lap at Hickory Glen Park - Commerce Michigan - 28:03
A quick rip (top 10 time) at a short, winding, and fun mountain bike loop in the metro Detroit area. Hickory Glen is known for being beginner friendly with very little climbing and relatively easy technical features, but the banked corners and tight switchbacks are also rewarding and challenging when taken at this speed.

2014 pumpkin festival held in Van Hoosen farm and museum, on October 11th in Rochester Hills. with mayor Brian Barnett. Weather is very good for the family to go out and have fun. Mayor Barnett told us that Money Magazine reported that Rochester Hills was one of the top 10 best places to live in the United States of America. Mayor maintains the city wonderfully, and works hard for all citizens. Pumpkin festival held in the historical farm of Van Hoosen, and is near the Van Hoosen museum. All children and parents can come together and have fun. Pumpkin carving is not the only activity, as there are traditional and historical games, such as using stilts, shucking corn, and old fashioned hand cleaning, and also pumpkin bowling. There are all kinds of things kids can have fun with parents. Some new families have never seen traditional activities like this. There are also beautiful sights in the Museum, along with the fall leaves changing color. 롸체스터 힐스에 있는 밴후센 농장에서 롸체스터 힐스 브라이언 버넷 시장과 함께 많은 어린이들과 가족들이 참여한 가운데 열렸다.
브라이언 버넷 시장은 얼마전 CNN 머니매거진에서 미국에서 살기 좋은 곳 10위 중에 롸체스터 힐스 시가 선정되었다고 전하면서 매년 열리는 펌프킨 축제는 시의 가장 큰 축제중의 하나라고 소개했다.
이날 미시간 코리언 타임즈는 로라 맨 가족과 펌프킨 축제의 주요 프로그램인 펌킨 조각 제작을 처음부터 동행취재 하였다. 온 가족이 즐길 수 있는 이 프로그램은 펌프킨을 직접 골라서 테이블에 놓고 원하는 모양을 조각하여 돌담벽에 세워놓는 과정이다.
어린이들이 좋아하는 여러가지 종류의 문양과 동물모양, 운동경기 마크 등 원하는 모든 모양을 직접 선정해 조각할 수 있다.
부모와 함께 조각을 하고 진열을 한 다음 밤에 다시 와서 촛불을 켜놓고 차를 타고 가면서 조각한 펌프킨을 보고 즐기는 시간을 갖는것도 하나의 관례로 되고있다.
화창한 날씨로 예년보다 더 많은 인파가 몰린 가운데 특히 이번 페스티벌에는 스토니 크릭 하이스쿨 드럼라인이 와서 신나는 드럼연주를 즐기게 해주었고, 아울러 많은 자원 봉사자들의 도움으로 옛날개척시대 전통과 생활양식을 보여주고 어린이들이 체험해볼 수 있는 프로그램도 마련하고 있다.
해마다 열리는 펌프킨 페스티벌은 많은 주민들이 어린이들의 손을 잡고 가족단위로 방문하는 행사로 직접 체험해보는 놀이와 온 가족이 즐거운 시간을 가질 수 있어 한번 오게되면 해마다 빠질 수 없는 가족행사로 자리잡고 있다고 롸체스터 힐스 시장은 물론 현장에서 취재한 방문자들이 전하고 있다.
