Meadow Hot Springs is a picturesque natural hot spring located near the town of Meadow, Utah. The first pool is crystal clear with temperatures close to 100 degrees. This pool is also very deep with limited edges to sit and soak. An adult can stand about chest deep around most of the perimeter, and someone has strung a rope across the center which provides a cozy spot to sit.

Ben Starr takes you to Meadow hot springs, a natural wonder scarcely a mile from Interstate 15 near the village of Meadow. This bizarre spring is incredibly deep and produces no outflow...a rarity in the geothermal world. The spring is on private land, but the public is welcome to visit provided they are respectful. A lot of locals like to party here and trash the place. Please leave it cleaner than you found it!

On our adventure Friday we visited the beautiful Meadow Hot Springs. We were surprised to have it all to ourselves for a few hours. We snorkeled and explored these beautiful hot springs. Though the weather was a chilly overcast 60* day, the hot spring warmed us right up. Meadow Hot Springs, UT (Snorkeling w/ Tropical Fishes!) | Milford Hot Springs, ID
In this video I go swimming at Meadow Hot Springs in Utah, which has tropical fish in one of the ponds, and then head on over to Milford Hot Springs, Idaho. Also known as Wild Rose. They are both free and wild. Meadow has space for car and tent camping, and a donation box. Milford is in a volcanic rock field and doesn't really have good space for car or tent camping, although you will find larger trucker pullouts further East, and possibly some BLM lands to camp on down the little dirt side roads. Do arrive in daylight or you won't be able to see these roads. It is near Craters of the Moon National Monument which has camping that will likely require a reservation in peak season. You can find the locations by typing in Meadow Hot Spring Utah or Wild Rose Natural Hot Springs, Carey, ID into Google Maps.

-Trip Summary-
Heading out for this weeks adventure we take you to Meadow Hot Springs. Literally located in the middle of a unsuspecting field in the middle of nowhere. These hot springs are a MUST if you are traveling between Salt Lake & Las Vegas. Located just 5 minutes south of Fillmore Utah you have a very small town called Meadow Utah. Nothing there besides 2 gas stations & a freeway exit. My favorite time to visit these hot springs is in the winter time. Be warned though that the road to get out there can be muddy and either require 4WD or a added 200 yard walk. Let us know what your favorite adventure is so we can go check it out !!!

Since moving to Utah, there really hasn't been much snow. Instead, we've been driving across the state to check out some of the natural wonders and features. In this case, we went down to Meadow, Utah to check out their infamous hotsprings.

February 20, 2016 -- Continuing our road trip from Washington state to Tennessee, we woke up as the sun was rising in hopes of beating the crowd to Meadow Hot Spring in Utah. It was worth it! While driving down the bumpy, dirt road with cattle on each side, I felt like I was already in Tennessee. It almost felt like home, minus the dirt road. The spring is located on private property, right smack dab in the middle of a cattle pasture! But it is marvelous and I am thankful the landowners continue to make it accessible to the public. We arrived at the parking area and could see steam rising into the cool morning air from the springs. There were trails leading from the parking area to three swimming holes surrounded by wooden fences. The first swimming hole was the deepest and warmest at about 100 degrees Fahrenheit and is crystal clear! I couldn't wait to jump in! The other two swimming holes were not as warm and one even contained small fish! The view of the mountains in the distance was like a photo from a magazine, simply breathtaking. Waking up early was so, so worth it.
