Medicine Park Bath Lake
Visit the historic area of Medicine Park and while there enjoy the area known as Bath Lake. It’s a granate-based swimming hole that has a continuous flow of water. It’s a place the entire family can enjoy so come and experience Oklahoma’s first resort town and spend a day at Bath Lake in Medicine Park.
Medicine Park and Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge Adventure
Hey, guys. Dennis Spielman here and this week I’m going to talk about Medicine Park, Oklahoma, which my wife and I explored on Labor Day.
Medicine Park is about an hour and half drive from Oklahoma City and the resort town is unique for its cobblestone decor, which are these round red rocks. It’s a fun day trip. Besides shopping and eating, there’s sculptures to find all over the town, a scenic river trail, and what’s referred to as a bath late for swimming.
The newest addition to Medicine Park, is their aquarium. The Medicine Park Aquarium and Natural Sciences Center just opened back in May. It’s been a long journey for them and it’s great to see that they’re open. Most of the marine life is from Oklahoma so it’s great way to learn about creatures in the state and they have a wildflower and butterfly garden too. Also, keep in mind when visiting, they are new, they started small, and they have plans to expand and keep getting bigger and better.
While visiting Medicine Park, you have to check out the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. There’s free range buffalo and cattle, which you need to be careful about, along with prairie dogs and other animals. The scenery is incredible and one of the best views can be found on top of Mt. Scott. There’s lots to do in the area, including scuba diving and learning about the refuge in the nature center.
In past visits, we’ve seen this tower that we had no idea how to get to or even if we could get to it. Well this time, we found it. Near the Holy City there is a sign that says Tower Trail, which leads to a parking lot where you can hike to it. It’s a half mile hike one way and I would say it’s intermediate on difficulty. Sadly, while you can get to the tower, you cannot get on the tower. Still, it’s a cool hike and another spot to take pictures.
That’s it for this adventure. Be sure to subscribe to my channel, share this video, and tag your friends that you want to take this road trip with.
Fort Supply Campground, Oklahoma Ruff Road Review
Oh, Fort Supply Lake Campground! When the wind wasn't blowing it was amazing for walking, biking, kayaking, and fishing. When the wind was blowing, just buckle down but enjoy the sound of the lake lapping against the shoreline. We enjoyed a week at this US Army Corps of Engineers campground. Our site was a pull through waterfront site with water and electric. That was great for fishing or launching our kayak right from our site. There are several camping areas along Ft. Supply Lake. The sites do not have brush in between them but provide plenty of space between them. Most sites provide a waterview and there are several waterfront sites. Do you love sunrises and sunsets and water? This park has beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We also enjoyed the full moon over the water during our stay. Ft. Supply Campground is located near the very small town of Ft. Supply in northwest Oklahoma. Woodward is the nearest larger town about 12 miles away. Sites can be reserved at Recreation.gov. We would stay here again!

Exploring Crater Lake National Park & Spelunking at Lava Beds National Monument
Crater Lake National Park has some of the purest water on the face of the earth. This video does not do the color of the water justice, you need to see it in person to believe it! We were in complete awe at the color of the lake. We also explored Lava Beds National Monument where we were able to walk through the lava tubes. We found sparkling cave bacteria, sunken roofs, and overall thought this was one of the best cave experiences we've ever had!

Temperatures Nearly Reaching 60°, and Sunny Days are Leading to an Early Spring Thaw in the Glacier Park Region of Montana. Luckily Night Temperatures are Still Dropping Below Freezing at Night to Slow the Early Runoff. Footage of Hungry Horse Dam and Reservoir and the Middle Fork Flathead River at the Glacier National Park West Gate Entrance. Some of this Early Thaw May Be Contributing to the Missouri River System that is Effecting Nebraska, Kansas, and Missouri Floods.
Old Plantation Restaurant
The Old Plantation Restaurant is housed in an old cobblestone building in Medicine Park. But the surprise comes when you go inside and see the newly renovated interior. Local restauranteur and entrepreneur, Forest Ray, has done a splendid job mixing new and old, adding a whole new dimension to the term eclectic. But the most impressive thing here is the food. The cedar plank salmon and steaks are superb, just like everything else on the menu.
Tour de Meers
Begun in the late 1980s as the sole source of funding for the Meers Volunteer Fire Department, the ride is held annually on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. Most bicycle events attract a share of hardcore racers, but the variety of routes (from 10 to 62-mile treks) assure that Tour de Meers draws as many families and casual riders as it does serious cyclists. You'll see wildlife like bison, longhorn cattle, prairie dogs, elk, deer, turkey and more! There is a stop at the Meers Store. Their burgers, made of prize-winning Texas Longhorn beef. This bucket-list delicacy is served on a pie plate and cut into quarters, so you can actually grab hold of it. Visit the cobblestone community of Medicine Park, where the Mayor’s Red Dirt Ball guarantees to keep toes tapping for three solid days. Built as a pleasure resort and health spa in the early 1900s, Medicine Park gets its name from the creek that meanders through town, rumored to have healing powers. We threw our noodled legs, cannonball-style, into the cool, restorative waters. Medicine Park is also where your comfy bed awaits. View lodging options, from B&Bs to motel suites, by clicking TravelOK.com and searching “Medicine Park.” We claimed a recently-rescued one-room cabin, cloaked in those signature, bowling ball stones. The next day, linger for lunch at The Old Plantation restaurant, a faithfully-restored landmark, plating up substantial American fare. The walls are lined with photos of Medicine Park’s past, and if you listen closely you can almost hear the echo of this building’s “Roaring 20s” hey-day.
