The Museum Home of Vladimir Lenin in Ulyanovsk (with English Subtitles)
Guided video tour of the house of Vladimir Lenin in Russia.
Founded as Simbirsk on the banks of the river Sviyaga, a tributary of the Volga, in 1648 as the fort which meant to protect the eastern frontier of the Russian Empire from the nomadic tribes and to establish a permanent Imperial presence in the area, the city was renamed Ulyanovsk in 1924 in honor of Vladimir Ulyanov, better known as Lenin, who was born in Simbirsk in 1870.
Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov, the Russian politician, Communist revolutionary and political theorist. Lenin was born into a wealthy well educated middle-class family. His father was the Director of Public Schools in Simbirsk district (which nowadays can be associated with a position of a Secretary of Education) overseeing the foundation of over 450 schools as a part of the government's plans for modernisation. Lenin's mother had relatively prosperous background and was the daughter of a German–Swedish woman and a Russian Jewish physician who served the royal family.
This video presents the first half of the official guide tour of the House where Vladimir Lenin spent his childhood from the age of 8 until his graduation from Simbirsk school gimnasia when he decided to study law at Kazan University at the age of 17. Russian cities: Tula | Russia 4K
Recently Tim and the RTTT team were in the Tula Region which means they took plenty of great drone footage. This footage mostly didn’t make it into the videos about Tula and we feel it would be a shame to let it go to waste and so here is our collection of 4K awesome drone footage from Tula and the area around it.
You will get to see in order of appearance: the oddly Martian looking Rumyantsevskiye Hills, the Kulikova Battlefield and its bright white Museum, The Sergius of Radonezh Cathedral on Red Hill, the Tula Kremlin, Downtown Tula, the tiny village of Monastyrshino and its bright red church, the “Equestrian Courtyard” which offers horse and buggy tours of the Kulikovo area, the black and gold Dmitry Donskoy Column, the Tula State Museum of Arms, the Octava Cluster, the hip and trendy Iskra District, the rather uniquely designed Defenders of the Heavens of the Fatherland Memorial.
We had a great time in Tula and it is only two hours by train or car from Moscow, so what are you waiting for? Give Tula (the arms capital of Russia) a shot.

# 9 Sedlec Ossuary
The Bone Church can be found in the Czech Republic and is home to some of the most macabre art in the country. The church uses the bones from 40,000 skeletons to decorate the inside. The bone furniture includes a chandelier made using almost every bone in the human body. This all started in the 13th century when the Abbot of Sedlec Monastery scattered holy soil from Jerusalem across the cemetery, making the Sedlec site a highly desired spot for burials in the area. When more than 30,000 bodies were buried in the small cemetery behind the church it became too much and all of them were moved to a crypt and then artistically arranged around the church.
# 8 Lenin's Mausoleum
One of the strangest things you can see on this list is the actual body of Vladimir Lenin. Since Lenin’s death in 1924, he was embalmed and put on display right before his funeral. neither government officials nor the general public refused to part with the guy. The body is injected with embalming juice everyday to prevent it from rotting and stays on display in a custom built wall.
# 7 Cat Island
Tashirojima Island is also known as Cat Island, because of the fact that the felines greatly outnumber the humans. This did not happen on accident - cats have actually been seen as a sign of good fortune on the island. As the feral cat population grew on Tashirojima, the human population dwindled from around 1,000 to less than 100. For a while the island seemed to struggle economically until the huge cat population started to draw in tourists. Now, visitors of all kind visit the notorious cat island and stay at the local hotel. Just make sure you don’t plan on bringing your dog with you as canines are banned from entering the island.
# 6 Magic Mountains
Just outside of Las Vegas city limits, you can find a strange set of technicolor rocks poking out of the dirt. These 30-foot- tall towers are the work of Ugo Rondinone, a world renowned Swiss artist. Anyone can drive the 10 miles outside of Vegas to go see the beautiful and wonderful “mountains” through 2018.
# 5 House of the Bulgarian Communist Party
The former headquarters of Bulgaria’s Communist Party looks like a giant flying saucer and it can be found on a peak in the Central Balkan Mountains. Once an icon of the burgeoning communist party, the Buzludzha (buz-ol-ja) Monument now sits abandoned, a victim to the weather and free to visit for anyone who hikes up to see it.
# 4 Idiom Installation
At the Prague Municipal Library you can find the Idiom Installation; a piece of art that is both a dream and a nightmare for bookworms everywhere. It is a huge spiraling tower made of real books. There is a small opening on the side of a tower that allows anyone to stick their head inside and see what it would feel like to get lost in an infinite tunnel of literature. Idiom INstallation was first displayed in 1995 before it found it’s home in the Prague Library in 1998 where it has been ever since.
# 3 Jellyfish Lake
In an uninhabited island off the coast of Palau there is a Jellyfish Lake. It’s a saltwater lake that was once connected to the ocean before it was cut off as sea levels fell. When that happened 12,000 years ago it also left a population of algae and jellyfish in the lake without any predators to keep them in check. Now, the algae and jellyfish almost completely fill the lake to the brim. It’s actually completely safe to go swimming in the lake since the jellyfish stingers are too small to be felt by humans.
# 2 Avanos Hair Museum
If you find yourself in the small town of Avanos in Turkey, you might consider visiting the Hair Museum. While the Cappadocian area of Turkey is rich in history, the Hair Museum is a slightly newer, and stranger addition. According to the story, a local potter took a piece of his friend’s hair to remember her by. After he put the hair on display in his shop, the tradition continued until eventually more than 16,000 samples of women’s hair had accumulated in his shop.
# 1 Elevation 1049: avalanche
In the middle of the alpine landscape of Switzerland, there was a large, burning ring of fire. It was actually a piece of installation art that was on display from February 2017 to March 2017. Elevation 1049 burned for a month straight, like an ominous scene from a movie.

Mundial de Fútbol Rusia - World Cup Russia 2018
Kazimir Malevich
Kazimir Severinovich Malevich (23 February 1879 – 15 May 1935) was a Russian painter and art theoretician. He was a pioneer of geometric abstract art and the originator of the avant-garde, Suprematist movement.

Volgograd History details :
Volgograd, formerly Stalingrad, is a city in southwest Russia, on the western bank of the Volga River. It was the site of WWII’s Battle of Stalingrad, commemorated by a huge statue, The Motherland Calls, part of the hilltop Mamayev Kurgan memorial complex. The Panorama Museum has a 360-degree painting of the battle, as well as weapons and artifacts. To the south, a large arch marks the Lenin Volga-Don Shipping Canal.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

SUMMARY
=======
Russia (Russian: Росси́я, tr. Rossiya, IPA: [rɐˈsʲijə]), officially the Russian Federation (Russian: Росси́йская Федера́ция, tr. Rossiyskaya Federatsiya, IPA: [rɐˈsʲijskəjə fʲɪdʲɪˈratsɨjə]), is a transcontinental country in Eastern Europe and North Asia. At 17,125,200 square kilometres (6,612,100 sq mi), Russia is by a considerable margin the largest country in the world by area, covering more than one-eighth of the Earth's inhabited land area, and the ninth most populous, with about 146.77 million people as of 2019, including Crimea. About 77% of the population live in the western, European part of the country. Russia's capital, Moscow, is one of the largest cities in the world and the second largest city in Europe; other major cities include Saint Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg and Nizhny Novgorod. Extending across the entirety of Northern Asia and much of Eastern Europe, Russia spans eleven time zones and incorporates a wide range of environments and landforms. From northwest to southeast, Russia shares land borders with Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland (both with Kaliningrad Oblast), Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia and North Korea. It shares maritime borders with Japan by the Sea of Okhotsk and the U.S. state of Alaska across the Bering Strait. However, Russia recognises two more countries that border it, Abkhazia and South Ossetia, both of which are internationally recognized as parts of Georgia.
The East Slavs emerged as a recognizable group in Europe between the 3rd and 8th centuries AD. Founded and ruled by a Varangian warrior elite and their descendants, the medieval state of Rus arose in the 9th century. In 988 it adopted Orthodox Christianity from the Byzantine Empire, beginning the synthesis of Byzantine and Slavic cultures that defined Russian culture for the next millennium. Rus ultimately disintegrated into a number of smaller states; most of the Rus' lands were overrun by the Mongol invasion and became tributaries of the nomadic Golden Horde in the 13th century. The Grand Duchy of Moscow gradually reunified the surrounding Russian principalities and achieved independence from the Golden Horde. By the 18th century, the nation had greatly expanded through conquest, annexation, and exploration to become the Russian Empire, wh ...
