Museum Konferensi Asia Afrika (KAA) Di gedung Merdeka, Bandung - Asian African Conference
Awal bulan Juni saya berkesempatan untuk mengunjungi beberapa lokasi wisata di kota bandung. Beberapa lokasi tersebut antara lain, Museum konferensi asia afrika (KAA), alun-alun kota bandung, dan masjid Raya agung kota Bandung.
Early June I had the opportunity to visit some of the tourist sites in the city of Bandung. Some of these locations, among others, the Museum of Asian-African Conference (KAA), square of the city of Bandung, and the great city of Bandung Raya Mosque.
Hal menarik dari museum konferensi asia afrika adalah, kita bisa mendapatkan pengetahuan tentang peristiwa bersejarah di indonesia yang pernah terjadi di gedung merdeka, yaitu konferensi asia afrika. Bisa melihat berbagai benda yang digunakan pada peristiwa penting tersebut, seperti misalnya kamera yang dahulu digunakan, mesin ketik, taplak meja, kursi rotan, meja, kertas tanda tangan, buku-buku dan berbagai benda yang turut menjadi saksi pada peristiwa sejarah tersebut.

Untuk bisa masuk ke museum ini sebenarnya kita tidak perlu mengeluarkan uang sedikitpun. Tiketmasuknya gratis. cukup menuliskan nama di buku tamu dan sedikit membumbui dengan kalimat berkunjung. Hehe
To get into this museum actually we do not need to spend any money. Tiketmasuknya free. simply write the name in the guest book and a little spice with visiting sentence. hehe

Bangunan yang didirikan pada tahun 1940 ini, menyimpan sejarah besar tentang perjuangan Indonesia dalam mempersatukan sikap dan pedoman kerjasama di antara bangsa-bangsa Asia dan Afrika. Peristiwa itu terkenal dengan sebutan Konferensi Asia Afrika yang diselenggarakan pada 18 hingga 24 April 1955.

Discover Jakarta: visit to MONAS National Monument of Indonesia
The National Monument or Monumen Nasional, is a 132 m tower in the centre of Merdeka Square, Central Jakarta, symbolizing the fight for Indonesia. It is the national monument of the Republic of Indonesia, built to commemorate the struggle for Indonesian independence.
In the outer yard surrounding Monas there are reliefs of Indonesian history. The story begins in the northeastern corner and describes events during eras such as the Singhasari and Majapahit empires. The reliefs extend along the four walls showing the European colonialization of the Indonesian archipelago, various popular local uprisings, modern Indonesian organizations in the early 20th century, the Japanese occupation in World War II, the Proclamation of Independence, and post-independence developments. The reliefs were made from molded cement although several of the statues are damaged and have decayed due to weathering.

City In Motion : Bandung (Teras Cikapundung & Bandung City Hall) Indonesia
My next stop in Bandung are Teras Cikapundung and Bandung City Hall.
This is one of the latest park opened by the Mayor. Man, Bandung city mayor sure likes to build parks. No entrance fee, good for taking picture and hangout especially if you are somebody who loves river. Here you can perform, play rafting, fishing, feed the fish, recreation, and more because it has mini boat, art installation, edible garden, amphitheater, and shelters. I suggest you to go there when in the morning or afternoon after 4pm when it's not too hot as it barely have shade trees.
Bandung City Hall is located in the center of Bandung city. The place is are clean and well maintained. There were flowers, statues, water fountain, and ponds. In the video you can see that there were children playing football in the park using just their slipper or even bare foot. Sometimes, there were bunches of teenager practicing dance in the park especially in sunday or holiday.

The Dutch East Indies (or Netherlands East Indies; Dutch: Nederlands-Oost-Indië; Indonesian: Hindia Belanda) was a Dutch colony that became modern Indonesia following World War II. It was formed from the nationalised colonies of the Dutch East India Company, which came under the administration of the Dutch government in 1800.
During the 19th century, Dutch possessions and hegemony were expanded, reaching their greatest territorial extent in the early 20th century. This colony which later formed modern-day Indonesia was one of the most valuable European colonies under the Dutch Empire's rule, and contributed to Dutch global prominence in spice and cash crop trade in the 19th to early 20th century. The colonial social order was based on rigid racial and social structures with a Dutch elite living separate but linked to their native subjects. The term Indonesia came into use for the geographical location after 1880. In the early 20th century, local intellectuals began developing the concept of Indonesia as a nation state, and set the stage for an independence movement.
Japan's World War II occupation dismantled much of the Dutch colonial state and economy. Following the Japanese surrender in August 1945, Indonesian nationalists declared independence which they fought to secure during the subsequent Indonesian National Revolution. The Netherlands formally recognized Indonesian sovereignty at the 1949 Dutch–Indonesian Round Table Conference with the exception of the Netherlands New Guinea (Western New Guinea), which was ceded to Indonesia in 1963 under the provisions of the New York Agreement.
