The Mersey Tunnel Tour Liverpool
Merseytravel were looking for something a little different to promote their very popular Mersey Tunnel Tour attraction. Our brief was to capture the atmosphere and emotion of the Georges Dock Building which is steeped in engineering history. The building was designed and built to house the tunnel ventilation system and control room. The original control room wouldn’t look out of place in a low budget sci-fi movie such is its vintage look. Very steampunk. The enormous ventilation fans are original and still in use. All in all the tour is well worth a visit and we were delighted to get the opportunity to film below the streets of Liverpool.
Inside the Mersey Tunnel
We ventured 150ft underground for a fascinating tour of the Queensway Tunnel - learning about the innovative feats of engineering and construction that continue to this day.
