Flying the Bombardier MOVIA metro from Germany to India
Berlin / Delhi The first rail car of a brand new metro fleet for Delhi, India has touched down in the Indian capital on February 26, 2009. The inaugural BOMBARDIER MOVIA metro vehicle, the first of a 424-car fleet being built by Bombardier for customer Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (DMRC), travelled to its new home aboard an Antonov An-124 cargo plane.
The MOVIA fleet will play a vital role in increasing sustainable mobility for Indias capital and will transport an impressive 4 million passengers every day.
The rail car, weighing a hefty 45 tons, left Bombardiers production site in Görlitz, Germany. It was taken by special road transportation to Parchim airport, Germany, where it was loaded onto the Antonov.
The 22.5 meter long and 3.2 meter wide metro car was received with celebrations and high media interest in Delhi.
The first 36 vehicles for DMRC will be built in Goerlitz, Germany and the following 388 cars in Savli, India, where Bombardier has recently inaugurated a modern railway vehicle manufacturing facility.

It seems that not everybody in the world talks rubbish about their government and its policies. And it is a fact that if lives of common people are affected, one way or the other because of some thoughtful and practical policies in a city, state or a country, that speaks volumes about the efficiency and inefficiency of their government.
We live in a world that has myriad problems and I think we all blame our governments for that (somehow); however, it is good to appreciate our governments for their good work. Besides that, I believe a government does not represent only the ruling party; any party that comes to power should work for the betterment of its citizens and that is rudimentary.
May every part in the world shine!

Mumbai Monorail NEW 2019 Full HD Tour Vlog | First Time In India Phase 2
#monorail #mumbaimonorail #mmrda #fullhd World's 3rd largest monorail network. Phase 2 was inaugurated in 2019 and it connects Jacob Circle, Parel to Wadala. Phase 1 connected Wadala to Chembur. The 20 km route is India's first monorail system. Its a 4 coach train and the entire 17 station route has been built at a cost of 3000 crore. The MMRDA plans to operate 120 services with 7 trains. I made a vlog about my first time on this unique mode of transport which has been aimed at reducing traffic and connecting distant parts of the city with the primary network of trains, buses and metro. School kids, parents, college boys and girls were primarily eager to experience it, the day it launched. 23,000 traveled on the second day of inauguration, revenue of 4 lakh. I reached the Ambedkar Nagar monorail station near Haffkine institute, at the back side of KEM hospital in Parel in the afternoon. The ticket to Chembur costed me 30 Rs. The security here is quite good, their attire seemed quite similar to the CRPF jawans/soldiers. They were quite helpful in guiding me and instructing other passenger about safety and directions. I boarded the train in and was pleasantly surprised with the interior of the train, it was clean and futuristic. The doors were automatic and the train was full air-conditioned which made it very easy and comfortable to travel in the sweltering heat of Mumbai, it will be of great help to a Mumbiker in the summer season. Now coming to the main part, the scenes and sights of Mumbai! Yes, this was the best part as I got to see Mumbai from point of view that was never seen before for over 25 years of my life! I saw such beautiful and diverse landscapes that for a second I could not believe that this was Mumbai, it really looks so new and different from above. I also saw a great deal of economic disparity, houses of the poor and sky scrapers of the rich. There were beautiful lawns, gardens and golf courses, luxury buildings as well as dumping grounds, industries, truck stations and slums which seemed poles apart from each other but existed in such a unique kind of harmony that it was amazing to see it from such a new perspective. After I crossed Wadala, I suddenly realised that there was so much open land in Mumbai! Acres of land which has not yet been used for housing projects or entertainment purposes. However I think that it is owned by the Reliance group, headed by Mukesh Ambani. If not all, most of it is owned by the petroleum Jio Billionaire who plans to make this one of the best ports in the World in future! As I reached Chembur I was satisfied with my first time experience and sure do hope to visit again soon. Overall I feel India is well on its way to beat China and Japan when it comes to trains and other allied modes of transport. Hope you enjoyed watching the video. Metro City Cab's Mumbai Pune Taxi Services
Pune, despite being considered a small city, is growing very fast. It takes 2 hours 50 mins from Mumbai to reach Pune with the total distance covered by road is 148.5 km by highway.
It takes about three hours to get from Pune to Mumbai Domestic and International Airport via the Pune-Mumbai Expressway.
Car, Shared Cabs, Trains and Private buses like Neeta and Purple run very frequently between Mumbai and Pune.
Some of the Indian Cars which are offered on this route are Innova, Xylo, Indica Vista, Swift, Ertiga ,Tavera, Etios , Xcent, Maruti Swift Dzire, Tata Indigo and Tata Indica
The rates for the journey would depend on the cab selected by the customer. It starts from Rs 1900 for a Tata Indica to INR 3400 for an Innova.
Fares for AC buses would be 400 rupees to during regular season and 450 rupees during peak season. But you can always bargain and get the best deal.
People usually prefer buses as its considered safe. But corporate prefer rented cars as they help them reach faster and they don’t have to waste time at pick up points.

A cab ride in an Indian Railways WDM3A loco out of New Delhi station on Saturday 29th May 2010. Formally WDM2C's, these locos were manufactured under licence from Alco in the 1960's and are fitted with an Alco 251C power unit producing 3100 HP. Number 18879 was working the 05.00 Kanpur to Rohtak Junction, a journey of just over 510KM and timetabled to arrive 12.05. I took this from New Delhi to Shakur Basti, a journey of only 12KM but timetabled to take 35 minutes due to the slow speed in the Delhi suburbs. Ambient temperature on the day was 45 degrees, a lot higher in the cab and no air con!

Delhi Metro Trains, India
Delhi Metro Trains in India consists of six lines with a total length of 156 kilometres (97 mi) with 132 stations of which 31 are underground. It has a combination of elevated, at-grade and underground lines and uses both broad gauge and standard gauge rolling stock. DMRC operates around 2,700 trips daily between 6:00 and 23:00 running with an interval of 2.5 minutes between trains at peak frequency. The first line of the Delhi Metro was inaugurated by Atal Behari Vajpayee, the then Prime Minister of India on December 24, 2002. The trains have four coaches, but there are plans to shift to six coach trains to increase capacity. Trains operating within the network typically travel at speeds below 80 km/h (50 mph), and stop about 20 seconds at each station. The first coach of every train is reserved for women only.

Gurgaon: India's first privately funded metro - Rapid Metro begins operations
The country's first private Rapid Metro began its operations today in Gurgaon, Haryana. The project, which is fully privately financed, connects with the Delhi Metro line at Sikanderpur station and also uses a common ticketing system with Delhi Metro. Five of the six stations planned in the first phase are open to public at the moment. (Audio in Hindi)
