Cruise ship World Dream (世界夢號) navigating the river Ems from Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany to Eemshaven, the Netherlands on September 17, 2017. The World Dream is 335.35 meters long, 37.7 meters wide and has a gross-tonnage of 151,300 gt. With 1,686 cabins on 18 decks, the World Dream has space for up to 3,376 passengers.
She is the biggest cruise ship in the fleet of Dream Cruises together with the sistership Genting Dream.

MEYER WERFT Impressionen 2018
2018 war ein ereignisreiches Jahr. Die MEYER WERFT hat in diesem Jahr die Norwegian Bliss für Norwegian Cruise Line und die AIDAnova für AIDACruises abgeliefert.
Mit der AIDAnova konnte das erste Kreuzfahrtschiff der Welt mit LNG-Antrieb fertiggestellt werden. Damit schaffte die Werft eine globale Pionierleistung.
Insgesamt ist die Auftragslage weiterhin sehr gut. Die Beschäftigung ist bis Ende 2023 gesichert. Nahezu alle großen Kreuzfahrtreedereien der Welt gehören derzeit zum Kundenkreis der Werft.
MEYER WERFT Überführung / River Ems Conveyance Norwegian Encore
Das neue Kreuzfahrtschiff der amerikanischen Reederei Norwegian Cruise Line, die Norwegian Encore hat am Montag, den 30. September 2019 Papenburg verlassen und wurde auf der Ems nach Eemshaven (Niederlande) überführt. Die Ankunft in Eemshaven ist am Mittwochmorgen geplant geplant. Später wird das Schiff für mehrere Tage die technische und nautische Erprobung auf der Nordsee absolvieren, bevor es Ende Oktober in Bremerhaven abgeliefert wird.
The new cruise ship for Norwegian Cruise Line (USA), Norwegian Encore, left Papenburg on Monday, September 30 2019 to be conveyed on the river Ems to Eemshaven (Netherlands). The ship is planned to arrive in Eemshaven on Wednesday morning. Later on the ship will go through several days of technical and nautical sea trials on the North Sea before deliv-ery to the cruise line end of October in Bremerhaven.

Am 04.03.2017 wurde das Kreuzfahrtschiff Norwegian Joy bei der Meyer Werft in Papenburg ausgedockt.
Die Norwegian Joy ist das zweite Schiff der Breakaway PLUS-Klasse. Das Schiff ist speziell für den asiatischen Markt entwickelt worden. Das Schwesterschiff ist die Norwegian Escape. Es gehört zu der Reederei Norwegian Cruise Line.
Daten: 167.800BRZ, 4.200 Passagiere, 2100 Kabinen, Länge 325,9m, Breite 41,4m
Ein Highlight an Bord ist sicher die zweistöckigen Rennbahn/Kartbahn.

The Norwegian Joy is the second ship of the Breakaway PLUS class. The ship has been specially developed for the Asian market. The sister ship is the Norwegian Escape. It belongs to the shipyard Norwegian Cruise Line.

A highlight on board is surely the two-storey race track / kart track.

MEYER WERFT - Neues Forschungsschiff für die Wissenschaft
Das neue Forschungsschiff Sonne wurde am 17.11.2014 an die Wissenschaft in Wilhelmshaven übergeben. Gebaut wurde diese schwimmende Universität auf der Meyer Werft in Papenburg. Auftraggeber ist das BMBF und die deutschen Küstenländer.

P & O IONA-floating in the Midship-Section at Meyer Werft 08/17/2019
P & O Iona is a cruise ship, due to enter service for P&O Cruises in May 2020. She is under construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany.At 183,900 GT, the ship will be the largest ever to enter service for P&O Cruises,and for the British market.[6] She is the first of two identical ships being built by Meyer Werft for P&O Cruises, with the second due to enter service in 2022

Ausgerüstet werden die Luxusschiffe von sogenannten Konstruktionsmechanikern, einer von zehn Lehrberufen im Unternehmen. Wir bilden nicht zum Spaß aus, sagt das Unternehmen. Alle 60 Auszubildenden, die hier jährlich ihre Lehre beginnen, werden später übernommen.

AIDAnova | float out 2nd mega block at shipyard MEYER WERFT in Papenburg | 4K-Video
Float out of the second mega block of AIDAnova on 16.02.2018 at the shipyard MEYER WERFT in Papenburg (Germany). The AIDAnova becomes the first ship of the so-called Helios class that MEYER WERFT builds for the cruise line AIDA CRUISES. The AIDAnova is to be delivered by MEYER WERFT to the cruise line AIDA CRUISES in autumn 2018.
With around 183,900 GT, the AIDAnova will become the largest cruise ship ever built in Germany. The AIDAnova will also become the world's first cruise ship to be powered primarily by LNG.

Mit einer Vermessung von 183.900 BRZ ist sie zum Zeitpunkt der Veröffentlichung dieses Videos das größte jemals in Deutschland gebaute Kreuzfahrtschiff und gleichzeitig das größte Schiff in der Flotte von AIDA.

Brand auf der Meyer Werft Papenburg 05.03.2013 / Fire on the Meyer Shipyard in Germany
An Bord der sich im Bau befindlichen Norwegian Getaway im Baudock 2 der Meyer Werft in Papenburg brach heute ein Brand mit starker Rauchentwicklung aus. Neben der werfteigenen Feuerwehr waren auch mehrere umliegende Wehren mit etlichen Fahrzeugen im Einsatz.
Today a fire broke out on the ship newbuilding Norwegian Getaway in the covered building dock 2 of the shipyard Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany. The shipyard's fire brigade and Papenburg's fire departments were handling the situation.
