Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce - Champions of Business
On Friday, January 24, 2014, the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce will host the Champions of Business Awards Luncheon, sponsored by BankUnited, and continue its long standing tradition of recognizing the accomplishments of outstanding business professionals who help to strengthen the foundation of the Miami Beach community at large. This year, the Chamber is awarding the Innovation in Business Award to Russell Galbut of Crescent Heights; Small Business of the Year Award to Ken Hendel of Gallery Art; the Outstanding Board of Governor Award to Stephanie Ruiz of Media Department II; and the Past Chair Award to Alan Randolph of C1 Bank.
The Chamber is privileged to have strong members contribute to the organization and the community every year, said Chairman of the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce Michael S. Goldberg. This event honors our tradition and legacy.

About Herbert Hofer: Renowned Austrian artist, actor, creator, catalyst, enlightening human being with his charisma and inspiring work, was born in Wiener Neustadt in 1946 and has been living in the sunny Miami Beach since 1988. He studied architecture at the University in Vienna, and worked as an interior designer in Germany before traveling around Europe and Africa adventuring and acting making great friends and participating in some movies from film maker Federico Fellini. He was cigarette Camel man and worked at TV Globo, Brazil in the late 80s. He was inducted to the International Hall of Fame in 1995. His famous exhibition Search for Paradise, in Washington D.C. in 1984 earned him a U.N. Peace Prize. He was on the official poster of Miami Beach Festival of Arts in 1999. His art resides in many private collections homes including Fellini, Pope John Paull II, Robert de Niro, Lena Horne, Gloria and Emilio Stefan and Luciano Pavarotti.
About George Neary: Associate Vice President Of Cultural and Tourism Greater Miami Conventions & Visitors Bureau since 1988. He made a decision long ago to move from Brooklyn, NY to South Beach, FL. He is in charge of the creation and implementation of new arts and cultural program for the Miami Dade County. He is the liaison between Miami, arts and the world.
