FORT ALMEYDA, SANTA CRUZ: PART 1
The Military Museum Santa Cruz is more accurately known as the Museo Militar Regional de Canarias, or Regional Military Museum of the Canary Islands. It occupies a large, roughly triangular area in the island's capital, flanked by Rambla General Franco, Avenida Francisco La Roche and the street where you find its entrance, Calle San Isidro.
The Museum started life, in 1854, as a military fort, guarding the shoreline of Santa Cruz against attacks from the sea. Back then, it was called Fuerte de Almeyda, or Almeyda Fort and, indeed, it can still be called the Military Museum of Almeyda today, as an alternative name.
It was the headquarters of the Tenerife Artillery Regiment for many years, then, as recently as 1940, was turned into the Museum you can visit today.

25 Things to do in Barcelona, Spain | Top Attractions Travel Guide Video Transcript:
This week we are exploring another Spanish city. We are in Barcelona and this video is going to highlight 25 things to do here.
It is kind of hard to believe our time in Barcelona has expired. So final thoughts.
Well, it was a really fun city to visit. Great architecture, really nice beaches. It is very lively especially at night. The only downfall is that we were here in the middle of summer so it was super hot and super crowded and sometimes that made it a little bit difficult to enjoy. Especially at midday or in the mid-afternoon. So keep that in mind. Maybe consider visiting in the springtime, fall, winter.
Well, so what did you think of the city?
It is definitely a fun city. We had a lot of fun going to the beaches. One thing that is really different about this city compared to some other European cities though is that it is really spread out. In order for us to visit all of these different attractions we had to chunk them together into groups to visit them day by day. Overall, it was a decent city. It didn't quite click with me the same way that Madrid did. But that is just personal preference I suppose.
And that is a wrap for Barcelona! Our 5 days in the city flew by, and while this guide didn't cover everything, we hope we were able to give you a feel of what this fun seaside city has to offer. As always, if you have any suggestions of things to do around town, feel free to add them in the comments below. And if you want to catch our latest travel videos, don't forget to hit subscribe!

The Police, after several weeks of work, has managed to completely inventorize the vast arsenal seized last January in the shop 'Cantabrian Militaria' of the town of Getxo, Bizkaia, where it is already the largest operation in the history of Spain against Trafficking in arms. The network, which supposedly led the owners of this store - a national reference for military collecting - stored 9,000 CETME rifles, 1,000 other rifles, anti-aircraft guns, 400 howitzers and grenades, pistols, revolvers and parts to reactivate As well as material to falsify documentation related to them and tools to alter their identification numbers.
The so-called 'Portu' operation, developed in Vizcaya, Girona and Cantabria, had its origin in the follow-up that the investigators carried out of the weapons used by a terrorist in the attack on the Jewish Museum in Brussels on May 24, 2014, In which four people were shot dead by a citizen of French nationality and of Algerian origin.
In the subsequent operation in Spain, the agents arrested five people and seized hundreds of weapons ready for sale to terrorist groups and organized crime.
