Captains for Clean Water - Fishing PSA
Florida is facing a significant water management issue. Our state needs a long-term solution that will allow us to divert and clean the nutrient-laden fresh water currently killing estuaries on the East and West coasts, while not permitting high Lake Okeechobee levels to jeopardize the lives of those south of the lake. We need a solution to restore the natural sheet flow and provide much-needed, clean, fresh water to the South Florida aquifer and Florida Bay. Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner had the unique and special opportunity of sponsoring a few PSA videos to help raise awareness to this important cause which affects the lives of many people in our community as well as our local economy. For more information about this, please visit CaptainsForCleanWater.org.

Miami Tarpon Fishing : Monster Tarpon makes me crash my boat into a piling! | Tarpon fishing Miami
VLOG 010 Miami tarpon fishing Part 3 In this Fishing VLOG I am fishing around Miami bridges for Monster Tarpon and I am using a 7ft medium, action Spinning rod with a Shimano BIOMASTER 10000 with 50LB power pro, I am Using a variety of soft plastic lures. My Fly Rod is a 12 weight G Loomis with a Nautilus fly reel and I using small Bob Lemay Night Fly and a variety of light colored and bright colored bait fish and shrimp imitations.
Bridges that connect to Miami to south Beach provide an ambush point for Tarpon eating the shrimp that hatch or spawn this time of year in Miami’s Biscayne Bay.
(As I talked about the shrimp run in the video here are some details) This time of year off Miami the shrimp run takes place in January February. During this coldest nights of the year Tarpon like to come into the Biscayne Bay area here in Miami to the warmer waters of the bay. A bonus for them at the same time they gauge on shrimp that spawn and rise up from the sea grasses at night on the full moons. These shrimp ride the current rising to the top of the water column and are attracted to the bridge lights. These monster Miami Tarpon are here nose into the current waiting for them like to drift along. It’s like an all-night conveyor belt buffet of food. The Tarpon also wait outside the inlets for these shrimp to wash out to the beaches on an outgoing tide. In both case it makes for an awesome fishery.
ABOUT: fly and fish tv with Captain Fraser Simpson
I create fishing videos on YouTube and other social platforms. I help you out with a few tips and techniques for mostly saltwater fish but my home base of Florida does provide some outstanding Peacock Bass fishing along with other species so I wouldn’t limit myself to just saltwater. I do also travel to other freshwater and saltwater fishing spots to explore new fish species and fishing techniques to show as many fishing places as possible and help you catch more fish. You can see I travel a lot to Costa Rica a few videos (the old stuff don’t watch it its embarrassing) filmed on the Go Fish out of Los Suenos the boat is operated by my father so if you would like to catch a huge marlin or sailfish or even one on fly rod book a charter follow the link : flyandfishcostarica.com
I also like to vlog with my wife Pam and son Baby Fraser (Pam decided the name)

Cobia Trying to Eat Jack Crevalle! Fishing Tampa Florida 813-758-3406
You do not always catch what you see, but when you do it makes it so special! Lately the dolphin have been going nuts! Attacking redfish schools, mullet, snapper etc... Great time on the water in the middle of the storms!
Back To Fishing - Florida Keys Tarpon Fishing
Back To Fishing - Florida Keys Tarpon Fishing
So the winds dipped. I went fishing. Every time there are these windy streaks, it changes all patterns so the first day back on the water means going through all the processes of finding out what the water conditions are like, what baits are around, if there are any fish where they used to be, etc. Although the wind was drastically down, with realistically only a few hours since it stopped blowing, the Tarpon haven't made it back into the shallows. Still though, I was able to pull one which was a good sign. Later in the afternoon, I hit the Mullet spot, picked up a bucket load, and hit the outlet to see if maybe they were hanging out on the outside. Although I saw a few small schools of smaller juveniles, there wasn't any sort of feeding going on which means there really aren't that many around and they aren't settled in. I did run into some big Jack Cravelles which were able to take down the 10 Mullet with ease. All in all it was not a bad catching day, and a great relief to get back on the water.

Ocean Air - Key West, FL
I recently went to Key West for a bachelor party and we spent a day out on the water fishing 12 miles off the coast. Seemed like the perfect opportunity for me to bring along the DJI Phantom 4 and do my first flights from a boat. Considering I have dunked both of my previous DJI Phantoms into bodies of water in the past (one recovered and repaired, one lost forever) I needed to overcome my anxiety of flying over water. I only did one flight and didn't gather a large variety of footage, but I decided to put together a fun video anyway. Throw on some overly-epic music and its pretty cool! Enjoy!
