(Ep. 30) Yusupov Palace - Museum in St. Petersburg: Tsar Events' RUSSIA SURVIVAL GUIDE
Tsar Events' RUSSIA SURVIVAL GUIDE with Maya Krivchenia: Russian museums. St. Petersburg - YUSUPOV PALACE #RussiaSurvivalGuide
For centuries the Yusupovs had been tsars’ trustworthy and favorite associates.
The Palace on Moika became the Yusupovs' family residence in 1820 and until Bolshevik Revolution remained the richest aristocratic house of Russia. The Yusupov Palace acquired its present appearance in the course of palace’s constructions from 1760 till 1850 done by the famous architects of the time. The staterooms in neoclassical style are remarkable for their rich and elegant decoration. The unique West European works of art as well as musical instruments of the 19th century adorn the palace interior. The germ of the palace is the unique Domestic Theatre built in the Rococo style as a miniature of the world-known Marinsky Theatre.
Yusupovs' palace on Moika is notoriously famous for Rasputin's murder that took place in one of the cell rooms on 16-17 December 1916. The exhibition dedicated to Grigory Rasputin is set up in the original rooms where the tragedy took place.
The exhibition dedicated to Grigory Rasputin is set up in the original rooms where the tragedy took place.
The Rasputin exhibition can be visited only with a tour. Visit can be organized upon request only.
Yusupov palace has never become a museum. In 1919 it was nationalized and in 1925 became Teachers' Community house.

Chinese kungfu finds mini masters in Russia
A group of Russian teens have performed Chinese martial arts (or kungfu) recently in the country's northern city of St. Petersburg. Their stunning performances have impressed the audience.
The show was part of the city's Chinese Spring Festival celebration, co-organized by the Confucius Institute in St. Petersburg and a local middle school.
Grand Layout Russia. Museum St. Petersburg.
WIKI

EXCLUSIVE Russian documentary on Crimea with Putin FINALLY with SUBS
Russian President Vladimir Putin said the life of Ukrainian former President Viktor Yanukovich was in danger as a result of the revolution that set out to seize power in Kiev.
For us it became clear and we received information that there were plans not only for his capture, but, preferably for those who carried out the coup, but also for his physical elimination. As one famous historical figure said: no person, no problem, Interfax reported Putin as saying in the film.
Mass protests over Yanukovich's decision to back away from a trade agreement with the European Union in favour of closer ties with Moscow ousted him from power in February last year, and he fled to sanctuary in Russia.
Interfax quoted Putin as saying that saving the life of Yanukovich and his family was a good deed.
The film documents the events that led up to Russia's annexation of Crimea and provided details of Yanukovich's last hours in Ukraine before fleeing to Rostov on Don, in southern Russia.
Putin, speaking in an interview for the documentary Crimea: Path to the Homeland, said Yanukovich had called on February 21 last year to lay out plans to leave the capital where violent street protests had been raging for weeks.
I told him my point of view that in such a situation it's best not to leave the capital, said Putin.
From Kiev, Yanukovich left to Kharkiv and then travelled on to Donetsk, where he called Putin asking for help. Putin suggested meeting him personally in Rostov on Don in southern Russia, but Yanukovich's plane was not given permission to leave.
Pella Shipyard - Project 22800 Karakurt-Class Corvette 'Typhoon' [1080p]
The St. Petersburg’s Pella Shipyard will launch its second Karakurt-class corvette, named “Typhoon,” for the Russian Navy this month.
On Nov. 24, the small missile ship will be ceremoniously lowered into the water ahead of state acceptance trials and its eventual transfer to the Black Sea Fleet.
It will join its twin, the “Hurricane,” which was launched earlier this year. The Typhoon and Hurricane, the first and second hulls of Project 22800, were both laid down on Dec. 24, 2015.
Named after the Mediterranean black widow spider, the Karakurt-class corvette was designed by the St. Petersburg-based Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau.
Specifications:
Displacement: 800 ton
Speed: 30 knots
Operational range from base: 3,000 miles (4,828 km)
Armaments: Precision-guided missiles
