Otis Hydraulic Intermediate Elevator at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital, San Francisco, CA
This elevator only serves between floor 4 and 6. It's meant to be an easy way for visitors to connect to other inpatient floors without a key card. The elevator has front and rear doors and red Series 4 fixtures, like the others. The hydraulic motor is incredibly loud and very clear to hear, you could say it's got a very epic motor.

In the shape of a note,

a denouement of battle,
lost to the forces of darkness.

wading down the ravine
of addiction
to ego
to greed?
Can you surrender to stillness?

Reach for higher ground?
Return passion to compassion?
Be a rose in remorse?
There is a way to swim out of the ninth circle of hell, I tell you.

go back to the river a second time....
all the way back.
And reach...
Reach
into the womb
of healing waters,
