MISTY NIGHT FLIGHTS | A380's B777's B787 | Melbourne Airport Plane Spotting
This compliation features some late afternoon and night departures from Melbourne Airport. The spotting begun in the late evening before a thunderstorm brought the action to close. Returning later that evening the conditions were much better and the sound was outstanding as the planes spooled up and rotated close up. An eerie mist lingered all night providing for some wonderful condensation effects. Lastly the channel ticked over the 800 subs, so great to be continually growing and receiving some wonderful support from the wider community! Cheers!

ANGELS AND GHOSTS ~ MOUNT VICTORIA ~ AERIAL VIDEO
I love the mists close to home in Mount Victoria and have been waiting for the right moment to try out this idea. It is meant as an ambient film, to watch full screen, let your mind drift, float, dream. The music I added was improvised quite quickly and is in two sections (angels 1st, ghosts 2nd) this is a final version and a dramatic difference in grading at 4:30 in shows how with that and music similar shots can have a totally different impact.
All filmed in real time with only a drone.

Pete is a Melbourne based saxophonist (alto/baritone/tenor/soprano) who has been performing professionally with various ensembles around town for the last 15 years. A while ago his group PETE MITCHELL QUARTET released their debut CD QUIRKY through move records, which is available Australia wide at good record stores and has received positive airplay and reviews.
Apart from performing his original material at Jazz Clubs such as Bennetts Lane,Dizzys Jazz Bar and Paris Cat, he plays a wide variety of jazz standards and popular music at many weddings, corporate functions, tafe's / university's, clubs / pubs, shopping centres (roving acoustic) and product launches etc. Styles range from modern jazz, funky acid jazz, swing, bossa nova, latin, ballads etc. Repertoire includes tunes made popular by such greats as Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Michael Buble, Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins, Herbie Hancock, Stan Getz and Antonio Carlos Jobim amongst many others.
Pete works in Duo / Trio / Quartet / Quintet settings and can add vocals too if required. (Instrumentation can include saxophone, guitar, piano, double or electric bass, drums, trumpet, vocals etc, performed by some of Melbourne's best musicians) Some past performances include the Launch of the Lexus Centre for Eddie McGuire and the Collingwood Football Club, the St.Kilda Football club Foundation dinner and numerous appearances at the Melbourne Grand Prix.
A major highlight of Pete's career so far was spending time and attending a private lesson with one of his all time jazz heroes, Branford Marsalis. A few years ago he was fortunate enough to jam and perform with members of the Cuban group Buena Vista Social Club on a visit to Melbourne and more recently was honoured to have Australian jazz legend Don Burrows join him to perform a full set with his trio at a function at Crown.
Just wanted to thank you once again for a fantastic performance on Friday night. You really are a brilliant musician and the other band members are pretty fantastic too! EVERYBODY was commenting on you guys...and still are! Hope to see you again. Cheers, Sylvi.

The Great Ocean Road covers some of the most spectacular scenery in the world. It winds past the magical 12 apostles, stunning stretches of coastline, iconic surfing beaches, lush rainforests, misty waterfalls and seaside villages. Few other roads in the world can boast 240 kilometres of such awesome beauty as can the Great Ocean Road. The coastline is magnificent. It is quite the awe-inspiring journey. We are all on a journey too, one greater than the Great Ocean Road.

Melbourne Docklands
This is the new Melbourne Docklands. I took the video last week and was very impressed with the transformation. Melbourne Docklands has become a sought-after residential as well as business address due to its proximity to the city. Still a lot of construction and expected to be completed by 2015. The video was taken in between light rain hence the misty look. It also meant the people stayed indoors so easier to film without a crowd and didn't have to wait long for people to get out of the way to do the filming. The music is Misty one of my fav. songs and played by dizzysfingers.. oh thats me.

English - It's a typical misty, windy, wintery day at Melbourne Airport at China Southern's A330-323 from China breaks through the low cloud and mist to make a smooth landing on runway 16. It wasn't the best conditions for filming but the mist gave a different perspective to landings at Melbourne Airport.

A Very Misty Great Ocean Road
Decided I will visit the Great Ocean Road, but unfortunately didn't leave myself enough time to actually ride much of it, I'll go back soon and try another video, in the meantime, hope you enjoy. I've bought my microphone, but I can't get it to work...
P.s I'm still fairly new to riding, so don't criticise my riding too much!
