Swiss TV antenna gets demolished with dynamite
The 122-metre-high Swisscom broadcasting tower La Barillette in Western Switzerland was blown up on Thursday.
Eight kilograms of explosives were needed to bring down the 60-year-old metal structure installed at an altitude of 1,500m.
It is rare to be able to dynamite such an object, it is a challenge, said Patrick Berner, CEO of Sagramat SA, the company in charge of the operation.
The 97-ton metal tower fell in the planned direction late Thursday evening. It will dismantled into smaller pieces and recycled. Owned by Swisscom Broadcast, the old mast used to transmit analogue and digital radio programmes. It was replaced last August and the new tower stands only a few metres from the spot.

Le Svastika en Suisse: Pierre-André rencontre Guéshé Rabten Rinpotché
Pierre-André Dorsaz et son équipe sont parti à la recherche du Svastika en Suisse.
Ils se sont d'abord arrêté à St-Pierre-de-Clages, dans la commune de Chamoson.
Ils y ont trouvé une vieille église Romane construite au 11e siècle qui contient le symbole du Svastika. Ce qui prouve bien qu'à l'époque, c'était un symbole positif pour tout le monde. Aujourd'hui, dans cette église très sombre il ne reste juste qu'un pan de mur. Chris Antille nous montre alors ce mur et nous explique plus en détails ce qu'est le Svastika.
Pierre-André et son équipe ont ensuite été près du Mont Pellerin, au Rabten Choeling - Centre des Hautes Etudes Tibétaines, pour rencontrer Gonsar Tulku Rinpotché, maître tibétain et fondateur de ce centre. Gonsar Tulku Rinpotché nous explique en détails la signification et les origines du Svastika et la façon dont le symbole est utilisé.

Le Svastika: Ce Symbole qu'on ne connait pas.
Le mot svastika est tiré du Sanskrit svastika (En Devanagari, स्वस्तिक) signifiant objet chanceux ou propice et est particulièrement un signe de bonne chance fait sur une personne ou un objet. Il est composé de su (apparenté au grec ευ-, eu-), signifiant “bon; bien” et asti la racine verbal de « être » ; svasti signifie bien être Le suffixe-ka forme un diminutif et svastika pourrait ainsi être traduit littéralement comme petite chose associée au bien-être. Le symbole du svastika est un des symboles les plus vieux sur la Terre et peut être trouvé dans toutes les religions et les traditions, sur tous les continents ! Le svastika fait aussi partie du symbole officiel Raëlien, le symbole de l'infini. L'étoile de David représente l'infini dans l'espace tandis que le svastika représente l'infini du temps c'est-à-dire qu’il n'y a, dans le temps, aucun commencement ni aucune fin, tout étant cyclique. Pas un symbole Nazi !
Utilisé par les partis de gauche, le symbole du svastika n'a jamais été créé par les Nazis, ceux-ci ont simplement utilisé un symbole déjà existant. Le manque complet de connotations d'extrême droite du svastika en Asie est illustré de la meilleure façon par le fait de son utilisation comme symbole électoral générique par les partis de l'extrême gauche.

Pierre-André Dorsaz and his team have been searching for the Swastika in Switzerland.
They first stopped in St-Pierre-de-Clages, in the commune of Chamoson. There, they found an old Romanesque church, built in the 11th century, which contains the symbol of the Swastika, which proves that at the time it was a positive symbol for everyone. Today, in this very dark church, only a wall remains. Chris Antille shows us this wall and tells us in detail about the Swastika.
Pierre-André and his team then went to Rabten Choeling - Centre for High Tibetan Studies - near Mount Pellerin, to meet Gonsar Tulku Rinpotché, Tibetan master

The Swastika: this unknown symbol.
The word Swastika is taken from the Sanskrit Swastika (in Devanagari, स्वस्तिक) and refers to a lucky or favourable object and is, more specifically, a symbol of good luck towards a person or an object.
It is composed of su (related to the Greek ευ-, eu-), meaning good; well and asti, the verbal root of being; swasti means well-being. The suffix ka forms a diminutive and therefore Swastika could thus be literally translated as little thing associated with well-being.
The Swastika symbol is one of the oldest symbols on Earth and can be found in all religions and traditions, on all continents!
The Swastika is also part of the official Raelian symbol, the symbol of infinity.
The Star of David represents the infinity in space while the Swastika represents the infinity in time, that is, there is no beginning or end in time, everything
