103019 CONROE MONTGOMERY PARK HOMICIDE
On Wednesday, 10-30-19, at approximately 5:30 PM, Conroe Police Officers responded to the scene of an accidental shooting at a local apartment complex. Police arrived at the White Oak Apartment complex, located at 2330 Montgomery Park Blvd, where they found paramedics performing CPR on a 19-year-old Taylor Abner of Conroe. Abner had a gunshot wound to the abdomen and did not survive. Numerous witnesses and bystanders were outside the apartment building. After an investigation, it was determined that Abner had been shot by 21-year-old Deondre “DD” Johnson with an AK-47 pistol. According to witness accounts, the two men had been seen smoking marijuana and playing with the gun just prior to the shooting. Deondre Johnson was arrested and charged with Manslaughter, a second-degree felony. Another occupant that was present during the shooting was 17-year old Mikavious Dennis, who was arrested for a non-related warrant for Aggravated Robbery. Both men were transported to the Montgomery County jail where they were turned over to jail staff.
Shocking video shows brazen shooting in broad daylight in Fairfield
Warning: graphic content:
A 28-year-old man gunned down at a Fairfield gas station in March was apparently killed in a dispute over an engagement ring, and the brutal shooting was captured on store surveillance video.
Adarius Elon Williams, a father of four who celebrated a birthday the day before he was killed, died April 8 in the parking lot of the Citgo station on Milstead Road. Vincent Washington, 25, and Barbara Washington, 31, are charged with murder in Williams’ death. Additionally, Vincent Washington is charged with first-degree kidnapping because the woman who drove him to the gas station said she wanted to leave, and he threatened her with her life.
The Washington siblings, who lost their own sister to murder last year, are set to be in court this afternoon for their preliminary hearings. AL.com has obtained the store surveillance video of the killing, which shows a man with a towel wrapped around his head – identified by police as Vincent Washington – shoot Williams multiple times, nine of those shots fired almost point-blank after while Williams had already collapsed on the ground. Police have said Williams was not armed. According to police and court records, the brother and sister told a friend of Barbara Washington they would buy her gas if she drove them to the Citgo station that day. They were going to meet Williams because he wanted the engagement ring back that he had given to Barbara Washington. Williams’ fiancé at the time of his death was also with him at the gas station the day he was killed.
The friend drove them to the service station, but told police she didn’t know what was going to happen. Once they arrived there, Vincent Washington got out of the car with a towel wrapped around his head. When the friend realized something was amiss, she said she wanted to leave. At that point, according to court records, Vincent Washington told her, “(Expletive), if you drive off I’ll shoot you in the back of the head.”
The friend said she was afraid, and did what she was told to do. The video shows Washington and Williams arguing outside of the vehicle for about 12 seconds, and then Washington opens fire on Williams. Williams fell to the ground on his back, and Washington stood over him and fired nine more shots.
Witnesses on the scene gave a description of a white Nissan Altima leaving the area. They said the vehicle was occupied by two females and a male. A short time later, Bessemer police said, a man suffering from gunshot wounds to the stomach and the hand showed up at UAB West, and a white vehicle reportedly had brought him there.
Authorities confirmed that man – later identified as Vincent Washington - at the hospital was involved in the Fairfield shooting. About 8 p.m., Fairfield police spotted the white Altima and stopped the vehicle. Barbara Washington and another woman were taken into custody. The second woman wasn’t charged.
After the shooting, according to court records, Barbara Washington took the gun used in the slaying to a friend’s house to hide it.
At some point during the incident, Vincent Washington was also shot by someone trying to help Williams. Police have never said who shot the suspect. He spent several days in the hospital before he was released and booked into the Jefferson County Jail. Both of the siblings have remained jailed since then with bond set at $60,000.
Bill Veitch, the district attorney in Jefferson County’s Bessemer Cutoff, confirmed he has seen the video and said it shows the urgency needed in stopping the violence. “Any of us could have been out there at those gas pumps that day,’’ Veitch said. “This war on violence cannot be won unless the communities unite, tear down the walls that have built between us and see, hear and report.”
“It’s going to take a great deal of individual courage to become involved in this struggle,’’ he said. “Join with me and our law enforcement officers, our churches, our judges, to fight these heartless hoodlums. This video is graphic evidence of how great this epidemic has become.”

FULL STORY: On March 12, 2019, Brandon Stacey entered Grifols Biomat plasma donation center in downtown Kalamazoo, Michigan. Stacey, an employee, went straight to the bathroom and when he exited, he fired a single shot from a handgun into the ceiling, telling workers to call the police. Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Officers Brendan Westrick and Emily Weston entered the building. Stacey raised his gun toward Westrick. Westrick and Stacey exchanged gunfire, Westrick fired 10 rounds at Stacey before he was hit twice in his bulletproof vest and once in the gun holster. After Westrick fell to the ground, Weston engaged the subject firing 13 rounds. Stacey was pronounced dead at the scene. Officer Brendan Westrick was transported to the hospital were he was treated and released. Both officer Westrick and Weston were placed on paid administrative leave per department policy. On April 16, Kalamazoo County Prosecutor Jeff Getting cleared both officers for firing their weapons during the incident. STORY:

A loner not comfortable in the bosom of his family, Ethan also harbors a bitter hatred of Indians (though he knows their lore and language well) and trusts no one but himself. Ethan and Martin Pawley (Jeffrey Hunter), Aaron's adopted son, join a makeshift band of Texas Rangers fending off an assault by renegade Comanches. Before they can run off the Indians, several homes are attacked, and Ethan returns to discover his brother and sister-in-law dead and their two daughters kidnapped. While they soon learn that one of the girls is dead, the other, Debbie, is still alive, and with obsessive determination, Ethan and Martin spend the next five years in a relentless search for Debbie -

Security Guard Pulls Gun On Black Police Officer In Full Uniform & Tried To Take Him Into Custody
You know what time it is ... #PressPlay!
A IRS security guard in Ohio is facing one charge of aggravated menacing after pulling a gun on a African American Lucas County Sheriff's deputy. The deputy, Alan Gaston, came to the IRS office to ask a question. When Gaston arrived he was in full uniform and badge with his firearm visible. The security guard informed Gaston that he needed to put his gun in his car and Gaston said that he could not do that. That's when the security guard pulled out his gun. Gaston decided to leave to de-escalate the situation and the security guard followed him to the elevators and tried to take him into custody at gunpoint.

General Eisenhower accuse British ally of cowardliness and betrayal of Allied cause in WWII
From Dieppe, a CBC miniseries directed by John N. Smith, copyright Canadian Broadcasting Corporation 1993 (excerpted for fair use only)
In August 1942, a force of 5000 Canadians, along with some British and US troops, launched a night-time raid at the German-occupied port of Dieppe in France. The raid was a total disaster, with almost 60% of the attackers killed, wounded or captured. The Dieppe fiasco was used to argue against an Anglo-American landing in Europe until 1944, letting the Soviet Union bear the brunt of the fighting against Nazi Germany.
At this time, the Royal Yugoslav Army was fighting in the Balkans, fulfilling British pleas to sabotage German supplies to North Africa, even as Germans executed tens of thousands of civilians in reprisal. By 1943, when they were no longer of use to London, the Yugoslavs were betrayed by the same British that Eisenhower accused of cowardliness, for not killing enough Germans, and abandoned in favor of the pro-British Communist movement of Tito.
Steven Kwast | The Urgent Need for a U.S. Space Force
Steven L. Kwast is a retired Air Force general and former commander of the Air Education and Training Command at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph. A graduate of the United States Air Force Academy with a degree in astronautical engineering, he holds a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. He is a past president of the Air Force’s Air University in Montgomery, Alabama, and a former fighter pilot with extensive combat and command experience. He is the author of the study, “Fast Space: Leveraging Ultra Low-Cost Space Access for 21st Century Challenges.”
Beginning in 2010, and coinciding with the opening of Hillsdale College’s Allan P. Kirby, Jr. Center for Constitutional Studies and Citizenship on Capitol Hill, the College has hosted an annual Constitution Day Celebration in Washington, D.C. to commemorate the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787.
The program—which features speeches, debates, and roundtable discussions—explores the continuing relevance of the Founders’ Constitution for American politics today.
Hillsdale College is an independent institution of higher learning founded in 1844 by men and women “grateful to God for the inestimable blessings” resulting from civil and religious liberty and “believing that the diffusion of learning is essential to the perpetuity of these blessings.” It pursues the stated object of the founders: “to furnish all persons who wish, irrespective of nation, color, or sex, a literary, scientific, [and] theological education” outstanding among American colleges “and to combine with this such moral and social instruction as will best develop the minds and improve the hearts of its pupils.” As a nonsectarian Christian institution, Hillsdale College maintains “by precept and example” the immemorial teachings and practices of the Christian faith.
The College also considers itself a trustee of our Western philosophical and theological inheritance tracing to Athens and Jerusalem, a heritage finding its clearest expression in the American experiment of self-government under law.
By training the young in the liberal arts, Hillsdale College prepares students to become leaders worthy of that legacy. By encouraging the scholarship of its faculty, it contributes to the preservation of that legacy for future generations. By publicly defending that legacy, it enlists the aid of other friends of free civilization and thus secures the conditions of its own survival and independence.
020313 GIANT HOT DOG VISITS MONTGOMERY COUNTY
Wiener enthusiasts in the Willis area went wild Sunday when the iconic Oscar Mayer Wienermobile paid a visit to the Kroger Marketplace on I-45.
Abraham Luna is one the select group that travels the country on behalf of Oscar Mayer and he displayed all the enthusiasm one might expect of someone in his position.
This job is pretty 'wonderful, Luna quipped. Every year, Oscar Mayer recruits all over the country for 12 'Hotdoggers,' and we travel all around the country sharing miles of smiles.
Luna, a Harlingen native, said he and his Wienermobile crew have been to 15 states so far and have a few to go. They drove from San Diego to Wisconsin, then south to Texas. The Wienermobile will be in the Houston area for another week before heading to Austin, then Corpus Christi and then all the way to the Valley in South Texas.
As for the experience of tooling around the U.S. in a giant hotdog on wheels, Luna describes it as a wonderful experience.
You get all kinds of looks going down the highway, Luna said. Everyone's always waving and taking pictures- It's like being a celebrity when you're in the big hotdog.
Everyone loves the Wienermobile, he said. Some have stories about how they saw it growing up in other places in the country, and then we have kids that are just taken aback seeing the Wienermobile.
But how does law enforcement react to a giant hotdog rolling through their jurisdiction?
One cop stopped us, Luna said. He just wanted to get a peek inside the Wienermobile, and he wanted to take some pictures.
Seeing the Wienermobile up close Sunday afternoon brought back memories for David Carter. The last time he saw one in person, it was parked outside the Oscar Mayer manufacturing plant in Davenport, Iowa where he was employed in the mid-1970s.
I worked in the sausage department, Carter said. I made bologna- ran 9,000-pound mixer and 23,000 mixers.
Carter said he was glad to see the Wienermobile and says to this day he still only buys Oscar Mayer products.
Will Henry was another area resident who was delighted to see the Wienermobile. At age 44, Henry said he remembered seeing it when he was around 6, and he laughed as he began to sing part of the jingle, Oh I wish I were an Oscar Mayer wiener...
It was the most fantastic thing I'd ever seen, Henry said. I thought it was pretty awesome, and it still holds the same kind of charm for me today.
The six Wienermobiles are 27 feet long, 11 feet high, and 8 feet wide, and according to their handout, the unique automobiles have a Chevrolet V-8 6.0 liter engine that runs on high-octane mustard.
