In the wilds of Siberia, a team of archaeologists is hard at work uncovering the graves of an ancient civilization. Slowly, the secrets of their burials are exposed for the first time in thousands of years. But when the graves are opened, a shocking revelation is hidden within…
Staryi Tartas is a village in Novosibirsk, a region of Southern Russia. Part of Western Siberia, it’s an area of little appeal to tourists. For archaeologists, however, it’s a completely different story.

In ancient times, the area around the village was a popular site for burials. It was so popular, in fact, that as many as 600 graves and tombs have been located in the vicinity. And now their mysteries have begun to see the light of day.
The burial sites are thought to date to the time of the so-called Andronovo culture, a catch-all term for several different but related cultures that existed in Western Siberia during the Bronze Age. By and large, they flourished between 3,000 and 4,000 years ago.

Ekaterinburg - Екатеринбург | Плотинка Russia Россия | www.Ekaterinburg.TK
What is Interesting in the city?
There are a lot of places of interest in Ekaterinburg - it has a unique mixture of different architectural, historical, and cultural rarities, which may never be repeated. More than 60 monuments of history and culture are located in the city, and 43 of them are considered to be national monuments because of their special significance. That is why Ekaterinburg can claim the formal status as Russia's most historical city.
At present, Ekaterinburg is one of Russia's biggest industrial centres. It's enterprises produce industrial goods for heavy machinery and chemical plant construction, for transportation, and military purposes.
Ekaterinburg is not very old, but over the course of its 280-year history, it has proven itself to be a special and even unique city - not only by it's geographical location, but also by a role as one of the founders of Russian industry. The heart of Ekaterinburg is its dam, which permitted the initial development of the city's industrial base. It was first erected in 1723 and has been reconstructed twice since - now it is recognized as an industrial monument of the 18th century.
Unfortunately, very few buildings of the old factory area have been preserved. Those that do, house the Museum of History, Architecture, and Technology of the Urals, and the Natural Museum - both of which are located in the so-called Historical Park. The oldest building of Ekaterinburg, which dates from 1764 and recently reconstructed, is also situated here. At present this is the Fine Arts Museum. Ekaterinburg of the 18th century was a wooden city, however, the city's first buildings of stone construction also appeared here during this period. At most these were administrative buildings - for example, the Main Board of the mining factories, where the Urals Conservatory is located now.
In the late 18th and the early 19th centuries a new architectural style - classicism, influenced Ekaterinburg landscapes. The palace on Voznesenskaya Hill, with its luxurious park, is the most famous example of this style. Many churches and chapels made the city's panorama very beautiful and picturesque. In the beginning of the 20th century there were about 50 churches, of which only 6 still stand today.
There are quite a few buildings in the constructivist style within the city - typical of this are such examples as the Main Post Office, the Uralskij Rabochij (Ural Worker) printing house, the movie studio, the famous White Tower, the Dinamo recreational centre, etc.
The Soviet period brought new trends to Ekaterinburg's architecture - luxury and rationalism, which reflected the influence both of ideology and asceticism. New tendencies in the development of world architecture have also affected the city. Some of the most well known structures of this time include the Military Headquarters, the Ural Great Polytechnic University, the Railroad Administrative Building, and the Philharmonic Theatre.
The city's history is full of events -many expeditions to Siberia, Central Asia and the Far East passed through Ekaterinburg.
The city was visited by many Russian tsars and members of their families.
The first Russian president, Boris Yeltsin lived and worked here during the 1960s and 1970s.
Among the many monuments in Ekaterinburg are the monuments to Bolshevik Malyshev and The Black Tulip - Russian soldiers during the Afghan campaign named the aeroplanes which delivered the coffins of their dead comrades back to Russia The Black Tulips.
There are so many remarkable places in the 280-year-old Ekaterinburg, that all cannot possibly be described in this small web site. This brief information is intended to provoke the interest of Ekaterinburg's inhabitants and guests of the Urals to the history of our remarkable city.

Frontline at Znamenka: Watch in the name of Culture
We kindly ask you to distribute this film.
On 28 April 2017 Maliy Znamensky lane was marked by a Frontline, an invisible line which divided the 26 year history of the International Center of the Roerichs (ICR) into the period “before” and “after”.
In the past the International Center of the Roerichs and its non-governmental Museum named after Nicholas Roerich were recognized internationally, they organized travelling exhibitions, international scientific conferences, issued books and magazines... And now the Museum is destroyed by the Ministry of Culture and the Roerichs heritage seized.
It means that there should be a non-governmental control over the actions of the intruders here at Frontline. The documentary covers the history of the establishment of the non-governmental Museum named after Nicholas Roerich, its heyday and barbarous destruction. Please, help to spread the documentary, so that more people would know the truth about an unprecedented tragedy of our culture.
***
Foes are currently trying to destroy the International Center of the Roerichs under the pretext of protection of state interests. They are attempting to liquidate this non-governmental organization through forced bankruptcy by imposing enormous taxes and fines amounting to 60 million rubles. On October 29, 2019, the Arbitration Court of Moscow is to hold a hearing, in the outcome of which the International Center of the Roerichs might be declared bankrupt.

The Russia House
Three notebooks supposedly containing Russian military secrets are handed to a British publisher during a Russian book conference. The British secret service are naturally keen to learn if these notebooks are the genuine article. To this end, they enlist the help of the scruffy British publisher Barley Blair, who has plenty of experience with Russian and Russians. Barley, an unconventionaly character who doesn't respond well to authority, finds himself in a game more complex than he first thought when he digs into the origin of the notebooks.

Dr. Peter David Beter - Audio Letter 30 : Secret Rulers; Kremlin; Soviet Police- January 28, 1978
Dr. Peter David Beter - Audio Letter 30 - January 28, 1978
Text:
MP3:
(1) The one-world plan of our secret rulers gone awry
(2) The agressive new policies of the Kremlin
(3) The Soviet readiness to police the world
Hello, my friends, this is Dr. Beter. Today is January 28,
1978, and this is my Audioletter No. 30.
One evening last spring the Beverly Hills Supper Club in
Southgate, Kentucky, was packed with customers. They were
enjoying a good time, and the troubles of the world outside
seemed remote and forgotten for the moment. But in a room away
from the crowds, fire broke out. It soon became apparent that
the fire would spread to the rest of the Club. Someone went on
stage to warn the customers to leave. He called for attention,
and warned them in a calm voice that fire had broken out in
another part of the Club. He cautioned them against panic but
urged everyone to get up immediately and leave in an orderly
manner while there was time to do so. A few people listened,
took him at his word or at least decided 'Better Safe than Sorry'
and got up and left. But to his astonishment many did not listen
at all, and most of those who did listen just laughed and went
back to their merrymaking--after all, they could not see any
flames nor even any smoke. And so the man redoubled his
warnings, pleading with them to leave before the fire
arrived--but to no avail. A few who had doubted at first now
realized that he was serious, and got out; but many continued to
ignore him. No flames, no smoke, so how could there be a fire.
But then suddenly there was smoke, and a moment later--fire! The
fire spread rapidly, panic broke out as people surged toward the
doors. Soon the Beverly Hills Supper Club was a raging inferno,
and the loss of life was staggering. Meanwhile the few who had
heard and heeded the warnings, stood outside looking in awe at
the horrible nightmare before them.
My friends, I feel today like the man who tried in vain to
give that warning to the patrons of the Beverly Hills Supper
Club. Five years ago when I wrote my book The Conspiracy
Against the Dollar there was still time for an aroused American
public to stave off disaster. Since that time I have tried
through Congressional testimony, radio and television Talk Shows,
lectures and tape recordings, to wake up America in time. A few
have listened and have even taken action in every way they could
to help, and that makes the whole effort worthwhile to me
personally; but most of us today will never bring ourselves to
really believe our nation is threatened by the fires of nuclear
war until we begin to be singed by the flames.
As I speak to you today, the flames are already licking at our
feet. The forces which were set in motion by our secret rulers
decades ago, have suddenly turned against them in recent months.
Now they are trying frantically to stop some of the things they
have launched, but it is too late. While they have been gambling
over the years, the rulers in the Kremlin have been playing a
shrewd game of chess, and now checkmate is upon us. What's more,
a very important shift in power within the Kremlin ruling circles
has taken place in recent weeks, whose effect is to accelerate
the possible demise of our once great land. [...]

SUMMARY
=======
Stalinist architecture, mostly known in the former Eastern bloc as Stalinist Empire style (Russian: Сталинский Ампир, translit. Stalinskiy Ampir) or Socialist Classicism, is a term given to architecture of the Soviet Union under the leadership of Joseph Stalin, between 1933, when Boris Iofan's draft for Palace of the Soviets was officially approved, and 1955, when Nikita Khrushchev condemned excesses of the past decades and disbanded the Soviet Academy of Architecture. Stalinist architecture is associated with the socialist realism school of art and architecture.

SUMMARY
=======
Sevastopol (; Russian: Севасто́поль; Ukrainian: Севастополь; Crimean Tatar: Акъяр, Aqyar) is the largest city on the Crimean Peninsula and a major Black Sea port. The city is administered as a federal city of the Russian Federation following Crimea's annexation by Russia in 2014, though Ukraine and most of the UN member countries continue to regard Sevastopol as a city with special status within Ukraine.
Sevastopol has a population of 393,304 (2014 Census), concentrated mostly near the Sevastopol Bay and surrounding areas. The location and navigability of the city's harbours have made Sevastopol a strategically important port and naval base throughout history. The city has been a home to the Russian Black Sea Fleet, which is why it was considered as a separate city in Crimea of significant military importance and was therefore once a closed city.
Although relatively small at 864 square kilometres (334 sq mi), Sevastopol's unique naval and maritime features provide the basis for a robust economy. The city enjoys mild winters and moderate warm summers; characteristics that help make it a popular seaside resort and tourist destination, mainly for visitors from the former Soviet republics. The city is also an important centre for marine biology; in particular, dolphins have been studied and trained in the city since the end of World War II.
