Logging in Maine (1906)
The subject is the movement of cut timber from the forest to the mill. The few scenes that make up the film are loggers performing the various operations necessary to prevent logs from jamming together. The men keep them headed with the flow of the water toward the lake on which the mill is located. The activities of approximately a dozen men were photographed.

A quick recap of the festivities at the 2013 Maine Moose Lottery. Hal Blood was lucky enough to get drawn for a moose permit after 33 years of applying. Tommy Hamilton had a great time interacting with the crowd in the final round of the Moose Calling Competition! We raffled off a Limited Edition Big Woods Bucks Remington Model 7600 to a lucky fan! A big thank you to Matt Ferland of Led Lenser and Leatherman for showcasing their products at the BWB booth and thank you to everyone that stopped by and said hi to the Big Woods Buck crew!

Clearing The Snow In Greenville
The overnight switch to milder weather has made a big difference in the Upstate. The deep freeze is melting away pretty quickly. Greenville city crews spent the day clearing crosswalks for pedestrians as more people began venturing outside. Many made it into Blue Ridge Brewery. A decent crowd on this day after the storm. The doors were open here despite Wednesday's harsh conditions.
