Exploring the Morikami Museum & Japanese Gardens

Yesterday I drove a down to Delray Beach, Florida, to explore a place I've been wanting to visit for over a decade: the Morikami Museum & Japanese Gardens. I wasn't disappointed!

Morikami sits on 200 acres of land in Palm Beach County, where sixteen of those acres feature a world-class Japanese garden complete with fountains, waterfalls, bamboo shoots, koi ponds, and incredible bonsai displays. I spent about three hours at the gardens before I had to leave, but I only saw about half of what's there to take in.

I did not take time to visit the museum or tea house, considering I was on a tight schedule; however, I look forward to returning soon to see the rest of what I missed.

If ever you find yourself in South Florida, and are looking for a place to relax or reflect, check out Morikami. You will fall in love with the tranquil atmosphere and colorful nature scenery.
