BEST VIEWS of SPLIT! MOSOR HIKE, CROATIA ????????
We had such a great time hiking in the Mosor mountains to get the best views of Split. There’s a cute little mountain lodge called Umberto Girometta right in the middle of a forest where hikers can get lunch on the weekends. We stopped there to have some traditional ‘pašta fažol’ and recharge for the rest of our hike. There were donkeys, beautiful views and even some snow up in the mountains! Extreme hiking in Croatia - Mosor mountain
This is short video of Mosor mountain hiking. As you can see in the movie terrain is rocky without path. Wrong step can cause injury which can be dislocated anckle to broken legs, arms or even serious injury of head. One more reason why I call this hike extreme is most poison snake (Viper) in Europe which lives in these area. I saw it one on this trail but much more times on other locations of these mountain cause all karst Croatia is home to Horn nose viper (localy called Poskok).
This trail is marked with mountain trail signs and it is not so hard like I said in text above for experience hikers on these kind of terrain. Those who are used to walk on these kind of terrain find this trail really adventures and challanging like I do.
This video shows one part of ridge trail on Mosor mountain but there are much more trail which are less extreme. Hiking on this mountain is harder then statistic says cause of rocky terrain without path, not so much of shade and no springs of water so you have to carry all with yourself.
Don't go on this trail without experience guide or alone like I did. Avoid hiking on this part during summertime cause heat is one more reason why this trail is extreme.

Cave diving Cetina in Croatia -109m
Cetina has its source in the northwestern slopes of Dinara. Rising from a spring at Milasevo near a small village called Cetina, located 7 km north from Vrlika, it flows a distance of 105km to the Adriatic Sea. A large artificial lake begins near Vrlika, the Peruća Lake, which was created by a dam some 25 km downstream. Cetina then passes into the lower portion of the Sinj karst field, through the city of Sinj. After that it runs eastward, through the city of Trilj and then back westward around the Mosor mountain, before flowing into the Adriatic in the city of Omiš.
The source of the Cetina river is -110 m deep and maybe even more.
It was a great experience diving in a crystal clear water that you can drink when you get thirsty.

Solin is located in Central Dalmatia, Croatia, 5 kilometers northeast of Split. It is pleasantly positioned on the southern, sunny slopes of Kozjak Mountain (780 m) and the western slopes of Mosor Mountain (1340 m), Like the entire area of the Central Dalmatia, Solin is characterized by a very favourable climate.
Solin was first mentioned in 119 BC as the centre of the Illyrian tribe. The Romans seized the site in 78 BC and under the rule of Augustus it became the administrative headquarters of the Roman Dalmatian province. The ruins of the ancient city of Solin (Roman Salona), are located among the vineyards at the foot of mountains just northeast of Split and are the most archaeologically important in Croatia.
