Pig opening in Moss, Norway
Pig was in Moss for two weeks, lots of people put money in but there were no openings, and the public had no idea but Pig was due to leave Moss by 10pm on 14th August. Just before 9pm on the evening of the 14th August, a man came, alone, to open Pig. James Moore filmed the opening and this is that film. We hope to get english subtitles soon.

Review: Moss Hotel, Moss, Østfold County, Norway - May 2015
I stayed at the Moss Hotel in the town of Moss, in Norway in May 2015. I paid 3,570 Norwegian Krone (405 Euro / £297 / US$455) for 3 nights bed and breakfast for two people via Booking.com. The hotel is centrally located in Moss, around a 10 minute walk from Moss Railway Station. We flew to Moss Rygge Airport with Ryanair from Manchester, unfortunately the flight landed too late to take any public transport to Moss, so we had to take a taxi, which cost around £40 for a ten minute ride - welcome to Norway!
The hotel is located on a corner at a road junction and a pedestrian street, straight opposite Moss Church. The building is historic and attractive. The reception open and welcoming. The staff all spoke superb English and were extremely friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately the building has no lift, it is a very steep and twisted staircase, so immediately that presents issues of accessibility. It would be possible to install a lift in the building, in several potential locations, but this would mean the hotel would lose two rooms. I do think that this would be a worthwhile investment, in the 21st Century, it isn't really an option not to have a lift in a hotel.
Our first room (303) was on the second floor so this involved quite a climb with luggage, the room wasn't huge but it was reasonably sized with a double bed (please note this seemed a double by UK standards, not a king sized bed). The room had an excellent flat screen TV, and a psychotherapist style couch as well as a double wardrobe, fridge and desk area. It was a good room.
There was no air-conditioning and the room was hot (the heaters were on full), so we spent the first night with the windows open for a couple of hours. This made me think that I may not choose to stay here in the height of Summer, purely as the voices of passers by outside were quite noisy with the window open (not with it closed though).
Unfortunately the bathroom wasn't a good bathroom. The shower cubicle looked like it was from the 1970s or 1980s, it was like something from a hospital or nursing home. The water in the shower didn't drain away in time so you end up stood near ankle deep in dirty water, as well as this 'muck' from the drain floated up which was pretty grim. The bathroom toilet was in a very narrow space and had a public toilet style double toilet roll holder in a plastic case that was stuck out over it. If you're 'bigger than the average bear' you will struggle to fit on it!
The next morning I asked to change rooms and explained my dis-satisfaction, the receptionist was completely fine with this, in fact her customer service was superb. She told us if we packed our bags and left them in the room that they would be moved for us.
We returned later in the day to our new room - 206 on the first floor. The room was smaller than our first room but still very tidy and decorated the same. Instead of a psychotherapist style chair it had two armchairs and a small table. The wardrobe was only a single wardrobe and there were very few coat hangers. The bed was probably the same size as in room 303, but it seemed smaller.
The bathroom and shower were modern and excellent, no complaints there at all.
In both bedrooms the TVs were very good, and better still all of the movies on the standard TV channels were in English with Norwegian sub-titles, rather than being dubbed (they were all recent films too). When the bars and pubs are so expensive, a night in with a good film is a decent option in Norway!
The breakfast at the hotel is very good, but the restaurant did get very crowded at times. The hotel also offers free tea and coffee 24 hours a day downstairs by the bar - this is a nice touch.
Overall despite me pointing out some of the Moss Hotel's flaws, I did very much enjoy my stay there, and am trying to present this review in a way that is fair and balanced.

Took a trip to Kambo near Moss i south of Norway for some metal detecting. At this place, the killed criminals in the old times, and hanged their heads up so all could see what happens to criminals!

The Amazing Wooden Church of Balestrand
Balestrand cast a hypnotic spell over Joyce Williams and myself on the third day of our Norwegian tour. And that amazing wooden church was a revelation, almost Thai in some aspects of its design. Then up into the snows for the next leg of our journey. As ever, we seemed to have the road largely to ourselves. Our last port of call was a curious art gallery, whose portraits suddenly seemed to produce a live specimen when we sought directions.

WOODLAND PHOTOGRAPHY - Take Pictures Of A Gloomy And Moody Forest In Norway - The Trolls Church 2020
This time I was walking towards trollkyrkja - the trolls church in the hustadvika municipality in Norway - a very nice hike to those caves in the summer season.
But now I didn't hike up there because of the bad weather. Instead I hiked to the beautiful forest which you have to cross in order to come up there. I was taking pictures in a very gloomy and moody forest this day of those pine trees and the ground which is covered with moss to practice and show you how I do woodland photography. I am really not a forest photographer. But this day was a good day to try it out.
