Nepal Tibet Tour 2020, Tibet Tour, Nepal Destination, Visit Lhasa, Potala Place 2020, Kathmandu tour
As soon as we take our breakfast at hotel, we drive towards Tribhuvan International Airport at around 8:30 in morning. 1 hour 30 minutes flight takes us to Gonggar Airport of Tibet. We can enjoy views of marvelous Himalayan ranges along with the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest while being on this flight. Lasha Market is at 1 hour driving distance from Gonggar Airport. The amazing scenes of naked hills, settlement at bottom of hills, agricultural land full of crops on the way adds excitement to our visitors. Lhasa city (3600m) is the administrative capital of Tibet. It is also the biggest city of Tibet in terms of space occupied. There are wide road ways; sky kissing buildings that makes us a competitive city in the world. It looks not less attractive than any developed western countries. The palace of Dalai Lama: The Potala Palace, Zokhang Monastery at Bharkor Market, Bharkor marsset itself and Bharkhor Monastery are other interesting places at Lhasa.
The Potala Palace is situated at the middle part of Lhasa city, in a place at 150 meters height. It is also the center to the meditative office building and administrative office building. The Red Palace signifies meditation whereas The White Palace expresses transparent administration. ‘Lhasa’ means ‘The Land of Gods and Goddesses’ in Tibetan language. Different varieties of amazing Buddha idols of Buddhist religion can be seen in The Red Palace and there are Meditation Room, Living Room, and Meeting Room for foreign guests of Dalai Lama in The White Palace. Lhasa city is a valley which is also the interconnecting place of two sacred rivers namely, Lhasa and Brahmaputra. Buddhists believe that one can obtain ‘Nirvana’ meaning ultimate salvation by having divine view (Darshan) of Potala Palace and Zokhang Monastery at least once in their lifetime.
Gold plated entombment place of 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th Dalai Lama can be seen at Potala Palace besides 13th Dalai Lama’s. Entombment place of 6th Dalai Lama is yet unknown and mysterious. Likewise, experts opine that the funeral of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Dalai Lama was done at Zokhang Monastery and then the ashes were kept safely there. There are ten thousand rooms at The Potala Palace but only a few are exposed for public such as, Bed Room, Living Room, Study Room, Meeting Room and The Entombment Place of Dalai Lama. The current 14th Dalai Lama fled to India and is living there since 1959.

Punyadham Uttargaya, Uttargaya Betrawati, Holy Place, Sradha tirth sthal Betrawati, Holy place Nepal
This Sanskrit couplet glorifying the sanctity of Gaya region is still commemorated and recited with great faith and devotion by Hindu religious people. Popularly known as Uttar Gaya, this holy place lies at a border of Rasuwa district and Nuwakot district, Betrawoti. It is about 80 km north to Kathmandu. Tribeni is the meeting place of three rivers flowing from the holy Goisakunda, Bhairavkunda and Suryakunda namely, Trishul Ganga, Betra Ganga and Rudra Ganga.
We begin our journey from Kathmandu to reach this famous religious site called Uttar Gaya. Following the west boarder, Thankot and passing Naubise, Galchi, Devighat, Battar and Trishuli of Prithvi Highway, we can verge upon Betrawoti. Also, we can visit Betrawoti via the route of Pasang Lhamu highway, Kakani and Trishuli Bazzar.
As per the prevailing Hindu religious belief, before visiting Kashi in India, the devotees should have visited and performed spiritual performance called SHRADDHA in the name of ancestors at Bishnupaduka and Uttar Gaya nearby Dharan of Sunsari District to liberate deceased soul. For this reason also, Betrawoti, the Uttar Gaya is a highly significant holy destination for religious purpose.
Every year, thousands of people from every nooks and corner of Nepal come to this place for offering food called Pinda daan, rice called Annadan, and water called Tarpan and to perform SHRADDHA in the name of their deceased ancestors during the fortnight of Lunar month of Poush. To accomplish these activities is believed to provide salvation to ancestors and bring happiness and good fortune in the life of entire living family members.
Holy Scriptures describe that, those who adore Gayatri, do SHRADDHA at Gaya and preach Bhagwat can liberate soul of their 21 generations’ deceased ancestors.
Likewise there are other festivals,
There is a huge fete during the festival of Mother’s day (Mathstirtha Aausi), Haribodani Ekadashi (occasion dedicated to lord Bishnu), Maghe Sankranti and Haritalika Teej. The story of Betrawoti as mentioned in Bhagwat Geeta is like this,
Before Dewasur War, Lord Shiva drank the Kalkut poison coming from Churning Elixir (Amrit Manthan) in order to protect entire universe from the negative power but it was so painful for him. With his agitation, he was stumbling to Kaialsh Parvat from India via route of Nepal. In pain, he threw the bamboo stick from his hand and created Betra Ganga river with hot water flowing. Later, this place was named as Betrawoti.

Ama Dablam Expedition 2020, Ama Dablam climbing 2020, Climbing Himalayas, Ama Dablam B.C. 2020 Nepal
Ama Dablam (6170m) is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful peaks in Everest region. It is part of the Mahalangur Himalayan range and is popular for climbing among both experienced and beginner climbers.
Ama Dablam Expedition
Ama Dablam in Sherpa language means ‘Mother’s Necklace’. When see from a distance the mountain looks like a mother protecting her child. The view of Ama Dablam from Thyanboche Monastery is a worth a million dollar!
Ama Dablam was first climbed in 1961 by a team led by New Zealander Mike Gill. The normal route to climb mount Ama Dablam is from its South- West ridge and usually requires setting up 3 camps before the final launch.
Ama Dablam is often regarded as a ladder for beginners before they graduate to bigger mountains. Still climbing mountain presents technical difficulty. The mountaineers have to cross-difficult ice rocks and steep snow climbing one their climbing route.
To reach the first camp from base camp, the climbers have to pass the toughest ridges and then turn to the north via rocky boulder. From Camp I the path crosses the rocky bowl and climb another the ridge with the help of fixed lines before reaching Camp II. The road ahead of Camp II is laden with severe rocks, ice and snow. The final stretch from Camp III to the summit involves tackling Dablam or a huge hanging glacier. The top of Ama Dablam opens up to a magnificent panorama of Mt Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8516m), Makalu (8463m) and Island peak (6189m) among others.

Our route then leads up to the high alpine yak pastures, glaciers and moraines around Kyanjin. Upper Mustang Trek - Trekking in Nepal
The Kingdom of Mustang had been a forbidden land until just recently. Even now the Upper Mustang is only opened for a limited number of trekkers. Lo Manthang (Mustang) is located north of the main Himalayan chain between the snow-capped mountains on the east and west bordering Tibet. It forms a relatively wide and leveled ridge towards the north with passes not lower than 4600m. The climate and land is dry and arid making it an amazing high altitude desert. Villages are located in the valley between the altitudes of 3300m and 4000m. This is the route where you are likely to come across some very important historical sites. No wonder an 800 year old cave and religious cravings have recently been discovered en route. Mustang is famous for being an important salt trading post in the Trans Himalayan belt, thus it has seen its fair share of yak caravans and traders in its time. From Kagbeni we return to Jomsom to fly back to Pokhara.
