I landed in Windsor, Ontario a boarder city in Canada right on the top of Detroit you can literally see the United States from here.. It looks, feels and smells like America. I found some ice cold Bud Light on my arrival, ate at America's favorite place to have it your way, Burger King, cried my eyes out when I seen the General Motors Tower and the U.S. flags, seen a boarder patrol boat and so much more.. Check out this new Vlog and look out for another vlog from earlier in London, Ontario, Canada that I did on my iPhone where I went to the Apple Store, had a date at Wendy's, and so much more.. I will be doing two different kinds of blogs from now on, one being on my Samsung Galaxy A70 and the others on my iphone both are completely different styles with the different resolutions and the different software being used to edit that being iMovie on my iphone and Powerdirector on my Android phone.. In a 2014 Buzzfeed article that went viral, Drew Philp describes a serviceman's reaction to reconnecting power to his long abandoned house in Detroit, You're either brave as hell or crazy as a loon. The full story, recently released as a book entitled A $500 House in Detroit, Rebuilding an Abandoned Home in an American City, is a modern coming of age novel connecting his personal journey renovating an abandoned structure to the troubled racial history of Detroit--and ultimately America. As a young man, with high hopes to fix the city for the better, Philp instead discovers himself through the community that changes him for the better. Philp writes poignantly and passionately about community, race, sustainability, craftsmanship, history, and his dog Gratiot.
As part of his book tour, Philp sat down with Googler Matt Mergener to discuss Detroit, a city he describes as like America with the volume turned all the way up. Philp expands on the personal experiences of the book, connecting them concretely to the city's past, present, and future.

Step 3: Contact city authorities
Contact city authorities to get local rules. You'll face different restrictions in a large city like San Francisco than in small-town USA.

Unity and Rebuilding Fund - The Son of Man (the leader and teacher of the New Nation of Islam) is asking you to support the Unity and Rebuilding movement to rebuild black communities all across America.
A message from the Son of Man:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Most Merciful, the Truthful, and the Most Just: Allah's-Salaam-Alaikum (May God's Peace Be Unto You).
Isaiah 61:4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.
Amos 9:14 And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.
The above two quotes from the Holy Scriptures is what has prompted me to call upon you to participate in the Unity and Rebuilding Fund.
If I can get you to trust me with five dollars per month, per person, per household; I will take those funds and put black contractors to work all over the black communities throughout the United States to rebuild and beautify the inner cities where we reside.
Brother/Sister: It is my hope that after you see what I do with just five dollars of your money, per month; you will trust me with a lot more to do a lot more for our communities. After visiting our website, we invite you to come to our location in Mississippi anytime you choose. Then you can see for yourself whether or not I am doing something worthwhile or if I am just trying to deceive people.

2. We will begin going through our communities repairing and remodeling our people's homes.
A. We will also put those who are skilled landscape and lawn care professionals to work; beautifying our properties and keeping them manicured.
B. We will also put crews of professional cement finishers to work; beautifying our streets and sidewalks.
3. We will begin giving scholarships to our gifted ones all over the country to institutions of higher learning to acquire the necessary knowledge to help lift our people out of poverty and want all over America.
A. As our gifted ones return from the educational institutions, we will begin financing whatever business endeavors they want to pursue, thereby beginning to create jobs and factories that will move us as a people to becoming a more productive and self-reliant people.
4. As we begin helping one another in this manner, it will begin the process of undoing the self-hatred that 400 years of slavery and affliction has embedded into us. There are many, many other things that Allah (God) has put in my mind to do for you, but I would rather reveal it by doing rather than telling. Also I think we should have learned by now that it is not wise to tell all of your plans of good for your people in the presence of those who may want to work against the good of your people.
Brother/Sister: What I have shared with you, thus far, of my intentions should be sufficient to inspire you to trust me with five dollars per month, per member of your household. If you give me your trust, your only regret will be that we did not do this a long time ago.
