Mount Agung has gone quiet here in Bali but Angelina Boyko and I headed to Sideman to stay in quite possibly the most remarkable villa with a view of Mount Agung Erupting! Very lucky to be able to see such a beautiful view in Bali of the Mount Agung Volcano!

Mount Agung Bali | Sunrise Volcano Trek
Last year at age 25 I decided i would hike a mountain each year for my birthday, regular parties don't cut it for me. This is part two. My friends had already left Bali, I hired a guide and waited to be picked up at midnight. Video picks up from there.
We hiked Mount Agung for sunrise. It took about 4 hours each way. There were about 8 other people at the top including guides. The sunrise and views were incredible. It is a fairly strenuous hike on the way back down in the heat, a lot more so than Mount Batur which I did the week before.

Bali's Mount Agung volcano erupts, flights cancelled
More than a dozen flights have been cancelled on Indonesia's island of Bali due to an ash cloud emitted by a fresh eruption of Mount Agung volcano. The eruption which lasted for four hours was accompanied by a loud rumbling and lava from the crater. The mountain's ash cloud dropped from a height of 4,000 - 5,0000 meters to around 1,000 meters. A thick rain of ash and dust affected nine villages near the volcano, where a four-km radius exclusion zone remained in place.

Bali volcano eruption 2017: Mount Agung is ready to blow - TomoNews
BALI, INDONESIA — The Mount Agung volcano in Bali, Indonesia is expected to erupt.
Indonesian officials have marked several danger zones for a potential Mount Agung eruption and have evacuated over 75,000 people in the past days.
According to the Guardian, hundreds of tremors have been noted near the volcano each day. If this continues, experts expect an eruption is imminent.
The most deadly threat resulting from it would be pyroclastic flows, a superheated killer gas that lays waste to everything in its path. The gas is laden with volcanic matter such ash and rocks and can travel up to 450 miles per hour.

We left Ubud at 2am drove a couple hours then hiked up Mount Batur for sunrise. Mount Batur is an active Volcano with it's last eruption in 2000. Spectacular sunrise and fun had by all. We opted for our guide to take us off the main crater rim to the site of the year 2000 eruption, this was a much quieter route. Pretty exhausted by the time we got back to Ubud.

Volcano Mount Agung (Bali, Indonesia)
Mount Agung or Gunung Agung is a volcano in Bali in Indonesia, located south east of Mt Batur volcano, also in Bali. Gunung Agung stratovolcano is the highest point on Bali. It dominates the surrounding area, influencing the climate, especially rainfall patterns.

Aerial footage of cold lava spewing from Mount Agung in Bali
Cold lava was seen forming around the crater of Mount Agung, Indonesia's tallest volcano, in drone footage taken by the country's Volcano and Disaster Mitigation Agency. Cold lava flows, known as lahar, were expected to increase after the country issued its highest-level warning over the volcano's activity. The 9,800ft (3,000 metre) volcano, which is capable of very violent eruptions, had shown a marked increase in activity in the last few weeks, stoking fears of a repeat eruption like the one in 1963 that killed more than 1,000 people
