NRD: Mountain Biking Mt Falcon Morrison, CO
Jared and I went and found another #NewRideDay just outside of Morrison, CO at Mt. Falcon. As with most front range trails, it was a bunch of climbing right out of the gate, but like taxes that you overpay it comes back in the end.
While this is a relatively busy trail, it was worth riding but be conscientious of the other trail users, it's busy and we all have to share.

Mount Falcon Castle *Trail...Creepy...Explore*Hunted By Wolves
Thank you for watching. Tonight we try to make a 3 mile hike up the moutain, to see the castle. But instead we almost get eaten by the wildlife. I grab a wok and hurry down the mountain but dont run. They surround us...

Mount Falcon Park - A view of Red Rocks, Morrison and the Denver cityscape!
I made this recording from an outcrop along the Turkey Trot Trail in Mount Falcon Park in Jefferson County, Colorado. As you can see in this video, I had great views of Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Mount Morrison, the town of Morrison, and the Denver cityscape.

Mount Falcon 15k trail race - Jefferson County, Colorado
The Evergreen Park & Recreation District sponsors a trail racing series that includes this difficult 15 kilometre run up Mount Falcon in Jefferson County. The runners in this event were challenged with a 4 mile (6.4 kilometre) ascent of nearly 2,000 feet up to the top of Castle Trail. From there, runners took the Parmalee Trail Loop to Meadow Trail, where they reconnected Castle Trail to fly back down to the finish line. The course featured beautiful scenery and excellent views of Red Rocks State Park.
The start/finish line was located at the Mt. Falcon Open Space Park entrance just outside of the town of Morrison off of Colorado Highway 8.

Sick Mountain Bike Downhill at Mt Falcon Colorado! Snow, Rocks, Jumps!
This is an awesome downhill at Mount Falcon in Morrison, Colorado! I am riding a Specialized Enduro 29er. This trail is one of my favorites so far! The climb to get to the top is long and grindy but it is definitely worth it. This was shot using a chest strap (GoPro chesty) and the GoPro Hero 7 Black with Hypersmooth on.

New Rooney Trail Descent | Green Mountain
First time riding the new Rooney trail on green mountain. The wind was really kicking this morning - I'm glad I didn't get pushed off the mountain! Lots of switch back turns, tight turns, and rollers take you down from the top of green mountain. I was hoping for faster flow - but the tight turns really slowed down the fast riding (for me at least)
I was picking up some good speed coming down in the trail and nearly took out a rider that was climbing up - sorry for calling you an asshole in the video...I would've normally pulled off the trail to allow you to pass - but I didn't have enough time to brake.
Green mountain still remains 'meh' to me - even with the new trail system.
Hiking: Mount Falcon Park
GoPro video from Mount Falcon Park in the Indian Hills. This place is really nice and a must visit for everyone. It's just past Red Rocks in Morrison, CO. The Park has two entrances but the one on the West side is best with lots of areas for grilling with fantastic views. Multiple trials and a Lookout Tower, elevation is just under 8,000ft. Worth a visit for sure.
Mount Falcon, Jefferson County Open Space, Colorado 2,393 metres (7,851 feet)
The tower in this video, on top of Mount Falcon, is located in Jefferson County Open space by the same name, Mount Falcon Park. The summit is 2,393 metres (7,851 feet) in elevation and about an hour and half hike up from the parking lot.
The John Brisben Walker family Castle is nearby and is pretty much what the park is about. The county's free informational flyer, located at the trailhead, has this to say about the park and nearby family ruins:
The story of Mount Falcom is largely the story of John Brisben Walker, who once owned over 4,000 acres of land in the area. During the early 1900s Walker lived in an elaborate stone house on Mount Falcon. Walker's home burned in 1918, and all that remains of this once splendid edifice are the massive stone walls and numerous fireplaces of this unique mountain castle.
He planned the construction of a summer home for the Presidents of the United States, which was to have been located on a ridge to the east of his home. The construction of the Summer White House never proceeded beyond the laying of the foundation. American involvement in World War I, combined with a waning of Walker's good fortunes, brought an end to this project.
