& Sugarloaf Mountain (Massachusetts)
Sugarloaf Mountain or Mount Sugarloaf, is a butte-like mountain located in South Deerfield, Massachusetts, United States, with two summits, North Sugarloaf Mountain 791 ft (241 m) and its more popular knee, South Sugarloaf Mountain 652 ft (199 m). Its cliffs, made of arkose sandstone, are a very prominent landscape feature visible for miles. Despite the low elevation of the summits to the nearby Berkshire Mountains, dramatic cliff faces and a rise of 500 to 600 feet (180 m) from the nearby Connecticut River make the mountain a popular tourist and hiking destination. Sugarloaf Mountain is the southern terminus of the Pocumtuck Range.
The name sugarloaf refers to the loaf-like shape that sugar was once molded into for shipment. The names Sugarloaf Mountain and Mount Sugarloaf are both used to describe this mountain. USGS sources and published hiking maps refer to (North and South) Sugarloaf Mountain. However, the Massachusetts state reservation encompassing them is called the Mount Sugarloaf State Reservation. The name Mount Sugarloaf is sometimes used to describe only the south summit, and the north summit is sometimes described as the Pocumtuck Ridge. Both names are used locally.

Before and after pictures of Old Main st. Downtown Springfield MA.wmv
This video was made due to Springfield, Massachusetts Downtown Main St. not showing up when I searched it in youtube. I did find some videos about Springfield Gangs, shootings ,Rap(no offense I was from N.Y. and I love the hood too)and one in particulr from a guy who drove by while filming, he just drove by without a word or a caption in his video. Another guy driving was caught in what seemed to be a youth street fight till someone started shooting. The driver that was filming took off terified. But I didn't find anything about Main Street.Well sorry I think I saw a video from this guy who did pass by talking about springfield and he did pass by Main St. Nice guy, he was talking about history I think. I can be wrong though. I also made it cause it made me sad to realize that everything around me was changing without me even realizing.Only upon the editiing of this video did I noticed that there were buildings mising and memories forever lost.Maybe someone out there can tell me more about this place,I only been here about ten years.Yes I already know it's Crime Ridden but that doesn't make it a less historic place. I think is just fine for me.Sorry I didn't know too much about every building I passed,I tried.

Breathtaking Views from the Summit House, Skinner State Park, Summit House,Travel, Tourism
Presented by Sven Kielhorn from
Today I decided to visit one of my favorite places in Western Massachusetts. The Summit House at Skinner State Park at the western end of the Holyoke Range. The view from the summit house over the Connecticut River Valley is simply breathtaking. You can enjoy spectacular views of the New England landscape. From the farm fields to the mountains of four states, the sights are amazing for a mountain of a mere 942 feet.

Skating in Central Park
Director: Frank S. Armitage | Production Country: United States | Year: 1900 | Production Company: American Mutoscope and Biograph (Verenigde Staten) | FLM75832 | Film from the collection of EYE (Amsterdam) -
A lively winter day with people skating on a frozen lake in Central Park (New York City).
The Library of Congress has the same film in its paper print collection, while EYE's print is duplicated from the vintage 68mm print. To avoid violating Edison's motion picture patents, from 1895 to 1902, Biograph used this large-format film. Their camera used friction feed to guide the film to the aperture, punching a sprocket hole on each side of the frame as the film was exposed. A patent case victory in March 1902 allowed Biograph and other producers and distributors to use the less expensive 35 mm format without an Edison license, although Biograph did not completely phase out 68 mm production until autumn of 1903.
EYE Film Institute Netherlands holds a large number of films produced by the American Mutoscope Company (1895-1909) on 68mm film stock. In 1899 the company changed its name to American Mutoscope and Biograph Co. In december 1898 the Nederlandsche Biograaf en Mutoscope-maatschappij (NB&MM) was established as a subsidiary of the American company. Next to exhibiting the American films in the variété-theaters such as Circus O. Carré in Amsterdam, the NB&MM also produced a small number of films related to Dutch actualities. The NB&MM was declared bankrupt on June 27, 1902. From 1995 on, in collaboration with the BFI, EYE (then Nederlands Filmmuseum) undertook the restoration work to restore and reproduce these films, duplicating the original 68mm film stock onto 35mm safety film.
