Lewisville | Flower Mound | Highland Village newspaper launch
Lewisville, Flower Mound and Highland Village residents will receive their first Community Impact Newspaper edition Thursday, Nov. 2 when the hyperlocal publication arrives in every home, business and apartment mailbox in the area.
The monthly newspaper company already serves four other markets throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including Plano, Frisco, McKinney and Grapevine-Colleyville-Southlake. The Lewisville-Flower Mound-Highland Village edition is also the 23rd edition of Community Impact Newspaper to launch in Texas, with 10 newspapers distributed throughout Houston and eight in the Austin area.
Flower Mound resident Brian Pardue was hired as general manager to lead the new edition, and three-year Community Impact Newspaper employee Sherelle Black, who lives in Lewisville, will lead editorial efforts as the market’s editor.
Community Impact Newspaper will celebrate the paper’s debut with a launch party and ribbon cutting at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1 at the Moviehouse & Eatery in Flower Mound.
About Community Impact Newspaper: Owners John and Jennifer Garrett launched the first edition of Community Impact Newspaper in 2005 with three full-time employees covering Round Rock and Pflugerville in Central Texas.
As other print publications scale back or cut ties altogether, Community Impact Newspaper continues gaining momentum as an information resource to residents in 38 communities.
The company debuted its new $10 million state-of-the-art printing facility in 2016 next to its headquarters in Pflugerville.
In total, 23 hyperlocal versions of the paper are delivered monthly to more than 1.8 million Texas homes—with plans to debut a 24th edition in New Braunfels near San Antonio in December.
