České dráhy (ČD) or Czech Railways is the main railway operator in the Czech Republic. In 2010 its consolidated revenues reached CZK 41.0 billion (€1.6bn, $2.1bn). Revenues from passenger transport amounted to CZK 18.7 billion (65% transfer payments from the government, 25% intra-state transport, 10% international transport), revenues from freight transport operated by subsidiary ČD Cargo amounted to CZK 11.8 billion, revenues from traffic control invoiced to state-owned railway infrastructure operator SŽDC amounted to CZK 5.2 billion. With thirty-eight thousand employees ČD Group is the largest Czech company by the number of employees.
The company was established in 1993, after the dissolution of Czechoslovakia as a successor of the Czechoslovak State Railways. It is a member of the International Railway Union (UIC Country Code for Czech Republic is 54), Community of European Railways and the Organization for Railways Cooperation (Asia and Europe).
Until 1 July 2008, České dráhy was the biggest employer in the Czech Republic. After experiencing regular losses and requiring government subsidies, the railway reported its first ever profit in 2007 although it receives government subsidies. Attempts to make it more efficient are currently ongoing and a recent plan to move passenger transport to an independent subsidiary was approved by the Czech government in January 2008.
ČD operates trains; fixed infrastructure (such as tracks) is managed by SŽDC. In December 2010, the Czech government proposed bringing SŽDC and ČD together in a single holding company. The government has also changed the subsidies available to ČD and SŽDC.
ČD Cargo, the cargo subsidiary, mainly transports raw materials, intermediate goods and containers. As of 2009, it is ranked in the top five largest railway cargo operators in Europe.

Plzeň or Pilsen is a city in western Bohemia in the Czech Republic. It is the capital of the Plzeň Region and the fourth most populous city in the Czech Republic. It is located about 90 km (56 miles) west of Prague at the confluence of four rivers—the Radbuza, the Mže, the Úhlava, and the Úslava—which form the Berounka River.
The city is known worldwide for Pilsner beer. Plzeň was in September 2010 selected by an official jury to be put forward to join the Belgian city of Mons as the European capital of culture in 2015.
Plzeň is a centre of academic, business, and cultural life for the western part of the Czech Republic. The University of West Bohemia in Plzeň is well known for its School of Law, School of Mechanical Engineering and School of Applied Science in particular.
The Škoda company, established in Plzeň in 1859, has been an important element of Austro-Hungarian, Czechoslovak and Czech engineering, and one of the biggest European arms factories. During the Communist era (1948--1989) the company's production had been directed to the needs of the Eastern Bloc. Disarray in the era after the Velvet Revolution, and unsuccessful efforts to gain new Western markets, resulted in sales problems and debts. -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+

Greece: Police swoop on Athens square in anti-migrant operation
Footage filmed on a GoPro, Saturday, captures the moment police officers descended on Victoria Square, Athens, in an anti-migrant operation. Antifa organisations also reportedly joined in to protest the happenings after the police operation began.
A number of arrests were made, as police officers moved in on the area reportedly hitting people with batons as they did.
Many migrants and refugees have been staying in the area in and around Victoria Square, which has reportedly become a hotspot for networks of human traffickers and people smugglers.

Procházení samotné lokace i s focením nám pak zabralo dalších 7 hodin. Ono dvacet-šest pater je pořád dvacet-šest pater.

CHRISTMAS IN PRAGUE | CHRISTMAS MARKET IN PRAGUE | PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC
Disclaimer: This is not made for kids, although you can see my son in the video because he is traveling with me.
-In EUROPE there are a lot of Christmas markets, best in the worlds. This is my first to attend Christmas market in Prague and I fell inlove with it, as mention I love Christmas season, everything is just so bright and colorful, the street foods and the busy night markets. My friend Shanese and her husband who works in Qatar was here and we decided to meet up. This was really funny and unforgettable experience for me since I’m not good with google maps and the walk from the train station to the hotel took us an hour instead of 15 minutes, my feet was hurting and I was wearing heels (wrong move). I hope you enjoy this video. Please dont forget to leave a comment.

In 1980 Škoda produced ES 499.1001 and 1002 as prototype locomotives for the replacement of the existing ČSD fleet. Production series locomotives started to be delivered in 1984. Two single system derivatives were also created S 499.2 (AC) and E 499.3 (DC). During 1990 further development to run at 140 km/h lead to the ČD Class 362, but an order for 30 locos was canceled due to financial problems. Some ČD Class 363 and ŽSR Class 363 locomotives are being rebuilt as 362s.
