This is a short video of our brief stay in St. Maarten. We were able to visit Mullet bay beach and do some sightseeing and beach bumming. This was our last stop and day aboard Royal Caribbean's freedom of the seas cruise ship.

MULLET BAY BEACH | Sint Maarten Beach
Mullet Bay Beach is located on the western coast of the island and features a large strip of white sand, filled with palm trees. One of the best beaches on St. Maarten for swimming because of the excellent conditions of the crystalline waters, Mullet Bay is popular with tourists and locals alike.
Consider stopping by regardless of whether you're staying particularly close by. Many of the beaches in St. Martin are quiet and secluded, but the ambiance at Mullet Bay is one of both seclusion and activity; this means you can relax without having to be too far removed from the city's activity.
How to Access The Beach
Mullet Bay beach is easily accessible, particularly as it is located by a popular golf course. Drivers should take Rhine Road to a local turnoff (signage is present throughout the area), where they will be led to a large car park area.
Amenities and Ambiance
The shores of the white sand Mullet Bay Beach are lined with lush majestic palm trees, which provide natural shade from the sultry island sun for beachgoers. To the south, there is a large hill featuring rocks and seagrass. This area may be slightly rocky as guests enter the water, so swimmers should consider moving northward along the beach.
The concession stand on-site could come in handy, even if you plan to have lunch elsewhere. If available, you could also buy some food from one of the local vendors who are typically found at this location.

We took a walk around the southern part of Mullet Bay Beach. Definitely need to wear shoes as the rocks are very sharp. But the views are amazing!

Mullet Bay Beach on St. Maarten
We went straight to this beach once we got off of the cruise ship. We asked our taxi driver to take us to the best beach on St. Maarten (as long as it was on the Dutch side so that we avoided the nude beaches on the French side). He told us Mullet Bay was the island locals' favorite and that it was a 10 minute walk from Maho beach where the planes land. This was ,aesthetically, the most beautiful beach we went to. Had some very good snorkeling too.

Mullet Bay is just a fantastic lovely beach ca. 15 minutes walk from the Sonesta Maho Beach Hotel, there are not that many swimmers we felt the next it was our private beach :-)
