The Streekmuseum Goeree-Overflakkee is established in seven small houses dating back to the seventeenth century, in the old village of Sommelsdijk in the Netherlands. The buildings are inter-connected. The museum is subdivided into nineteen sections and there is an annually changing exhibition. All aspects of life and work on the island of Goeree-Overflakkee are shown in a well-ordered way. The museum collection dates back to the first century A.D. The visitor will find a complete dwelling, grocery shop and school classroom A.D. 1900. The sections fishery and agriculture give an impression of the principal means of living in the past. People may also take a glance at the workshops of a blacksmith, a cartwright, a clogmaker and a shoemaker. A photo-collection serves as a reminder of the ‘Watersnoodramp’, the disastrous flood of 1953, when hundreds of islanders were drowned.

Ouddorp is a town in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Goedereede on the island Goeree-Overflakkee. In 2001, the towncentre of Ouddorp had 3820 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 1.1 km², and contained 1393 residences. The statistical area Ouddorp, which also includes the peripheral parts of the village and the surrounding countryside (including the hamlet of Visschershoek), has a population of around 6040.

Ouddorp is een dorp en badplaats op de kop van het eiland Goeree-Overflakkee in het zuiden van de Nederlandse provincie Zuid-Holland en vormt samen met Stellendam, Havenhoofd en Goedereede de gemeente Goedereede. Ouddorp is op Middelharnis-Sommelsdijk na het grootste dorp van Goeree-Overflakkee. Er wonen ongeveer 6.050 mensen. Desondanks is het dorp landelijk gelegen. Het grootste deel bestaat uit uitgestrekte lintbebouwing, die zich vanaf het centrum naar het noorden en westen uitstrekt tot een afstand van meer dan 4 kilometer. Doordat zandwallen als erfafscheiding worden gebruikt is een uniek landschap ontstaan (schurvelingenlandschap).

Compilatie dronebeelden van huizen

In opdracht van mijn stagebegeleider moest ik een compilatie maken voor een klant die wat voorbeelden wilde van huizen wie door ons gefilmd zijn met een drone.

Militaire oefening op voormalig terrein de Goede Ree te Sommelsdijk

Momenteel wordt het voormalige verzorgingshuis “De Goede Ree” aan de Prinsessenlaan 51 in Sommelsdijk gesloopt. Dit pand is hierdoor geschikt om te gebruiken voor een militaire oefening. Het Ministerie van Defensie zal deze oefening uitvoeren op dinsdag 28 en 29 april aanstaande. Zij zullen arriveren op dinsdagmiddag 28 april en overnachten dan op het terrein. Op woensdag 29 april zullen tussen 08.00 uur en 17.00 uur oefeningen binnen het gebouw van “De Goede Ree” plaatsvinden waarbij kleine hoeveelheden springstoffen worden gebruikt. De oefeningen zijn dus vanaf de buitenkant van het gebouw niet zichtbaar maar eventueel wel te horen.
