Peter Wolf Toth Trail of the Whispering Giants
Peter Toth created 74 Whispering Giants all are in all 50 states 1 in Canada, and even one in Hungary. Interesting fact is that they all resemble natives of the region that they are located in. The basic tools he used to create these were a hammer and chisel...and on occasion he used a mallet and an axe. He rarely ever used power tools to create these beautiful pieces of art. I hope everyone will be able to find them and let me know more about them with either photos or through a video.

Chattanooga Update - April 17, 2014
A suspect has been arrested in the case where a girlfriend came home - to find her boyfriend killed.

There were no signs of forced entry, and according to the medical examiner, Adams was shot five times - three times in the upper-thigh and twice in the head.
Neighbors said they heard gunshots near the apartment after midnight, but no one called 911.
Now officers have arrested 42-year-old Eric Fitzgerald Williams on a charge of first degree murder. He was found in the Atlanta area on Tuesday.
Police say that shortly after the shooting happened, Williams showed up at Parkridge Medical Center with a head wound and said he'd been shot, but wouldn't answer any more questions.
His vehicle was also seen at Pinewood Apartments around the time of the gunshots, and his fingerprint was found on an item inside - the apartment.

Driving Downtown - Columbia - USA
Driving Downtown - Columbia South Carolina USA - Season 1 Episode 5.
Starting Point: Main St
Highlights include Main St - Sumter St (USC) - Assembly St - Gervais St - Lady St - Washington St - Hampton St - Taylor St - Blanding St.
Columbia is the capital of and largest city in the U.S. state of South Carolina, with a population of 129,272 as of the 2010 United States Census. As of July 1, 2013, the city's population was estimated to be 133,358 (U.S. Census Bureau, July 2014 release). The name Columbia was a poetic term used for the United States, originating from the name of Christopher Columbus. Columbia is home to the University of South Carolina, the state's flagship and largest university, and is also the site of Fort Jackson, the largest United States Army installation for Basic Combat Training. In 1860, the city was the location of the South Carolina Secession Convention, which marked the departure of the first state from the Union in the events leading up to the Civil War.
Downtown revitalization
The city of Columbia has recently accomplished a number of urban redevelopment projects and has several more planned.[27] The historic Congaree Vista, a 1,200-acre (5 km2) district running from the central business district toward the Congaree river, features a number of historic buildings that have been rehabilitated since its revitalization begun in the late 1980s. Of note is the adaptive reuse of the Confederate Printing Plant on Gervais and Huger, used to print Confederate bills during the American Civil War. The city cooperated with Publix grocery stores to preserve the look. This won Columbia an award from the International Downtown Association.[28] The Vista district is also where the region's convention center and anchor Hilton hotel with a Ruth's Chris Steakhouse restaurant are located. Other notable developments under construction and recently completed include high-end condos and townhomes, hotels, and mixed-use structures.
The older buildings lining the Vista's main drag, Gervais, now house art galleries, restaurants, unique shops, and professional office space. Near the end of Gervais is the South Carolina State Museum and the EdVenture Children's Museum. Private student housing and some residential projects are going up nearby; the CanalSide development[29] at the site of the old Central Correctional Institution, is the most high profile. At full build-out, the development will have 750 residential units and provides access to Columbia's waterfront. Lady Street between Huger and Assembly streets in the Vista and the Five Points neighborhood have undergone beautification projects, which mainly consisted of replacing curbs and gutters, and adding brick-paved sidewalks and angled parking.
Economy
Columbia enjoys a diversified economy, with the major employers in the area being South Carolina state government, the Palmetto Health hospital system, Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina, Palmetto GBA, and the University of South Carolina. The corporate headquarters of Fortune 1000 energy company, SCANA, are located in the Columbia suburb of Cayce. Other major employers in the Columbia area include Computer Sciences Corporation, Fort Jackson, the U.S. Army's largest and most active initial entry training installation,[25] Richland School District One, Humana/TriCare, and the United Parcel Service, which operates its Southeastern Regional Hub at the Columbia Metropolitan Airport. Major manufacturers such as Square D, CMC Steel, Spirax Sarco, Michelin, International Paper, Pirelli Cables, Honeywell, Westinghouse Electric, Harsco Track Tech, Trane, Intertape Polymer Group, Union Switch & Signal, FN Herstal, Solectron, and Bose Technology have facilities in the Columbia area. There are over 70 foreign affiliated companies and fourteen Fortune 500 companies in the region. The gross domestic product (GDP) of the Columbia metropolitan statistical area as of 2010 was $31.97 billion, the highest among MSAs in the state.[26]

Unbelievable Abandoned Places That Really Exist!
Unbelievably beautiful abandoned places! You would never guess that these beautiful places were really abandoned including a Disneyland like park in Japan and other truly unbelievable abandoned places that really exist!
9. Bali Airplane
Another oddly abandoned place is actually more of an item. However, that doesn’t make it any less strange. It is located in Bali near the southern coast. It’s easy to get to since it’s right off the highway and is basically out in the open. The mystery surrounding this airplane isn’t how it looks or where it is; it’s how the Boeing 737 got there. There are some stories about the plane, but nothing is certain. Some residents believe that it was supposed to be used as a restaurant for tourists and was abandoned after the owner faced financial hardships. Assuming the local gossip is true, the plane still fulfilled one of its purposes: tourism. The peculiarity of the Boeing 737 attracts people by itself.
8. Hachijo Royal Resort
This awe-inspiring hotel is located in Hachijo-jima, Japan. It was constructed in the 1960s when tourism rates were rising in the area. The resort was built in the French Baroque style and featured a lot of beautiful architectural details. There were lavish fountains and copies of Greek statues. The Hachijo Royal Resort was one of Japan’s most sizable hotels at the time and attracted mostly middle-class people. Eija Yasuda, the company’s president, even had a statue of himself and his horse built on the premises. However, this extravagant getaway began crumbling just thirty years after its creation as the tourism rates began to drop. People were more interested in going to places like Hawaii and Thailand instead of Hachijo-jima Island. The owners attempted to regain clientele by renaming their resort, but it eventually failed. Hachijo Royal Resort officially closed in the mid-2000s. Nowadays, trees and other greenery have overgrown many of the hotel’s magnificent features, making it look like ruins in the jungle.

Thorium.
Thorium is an abundant material which can be transformed into massive quantities of energy. To do so efficiently requires a very different nuclear reactor than the kind we use today- Not one that uses solid fuel rods, but a reactor in which the fuel is kept in a liquid state. Not one that uses pressurized water as a coolant, but a reactor that uses chemically stable molten salts.
Such a reactor is called a Molten Salt Reactor. Many different configurations are possible. Some of these configurations can harness Thorium very efficiently.
This video explores the attributes of Molten Salt Reactors. Why are they compelling? And why do many people (including myself) see them as the only economical way of fully harnessing ALL our nuclear fuels... including Thorium.
This video has been under development since 2012. I hope it conveys to you why I personally find Molten Salt Reactors so compelling, as do the many volunteers and supporters who helped create it. Much of the footage was shot by volunteers.

Why no aquarium has a great white shark
Many have tried to keep a white shark in captivity. Here's why that's so difficult.
There are several aquariums around the world, including one in Georgia, that house whale sharks, the biggest fish in the sea. But not one has a great white shark on display.
Aquariums have made dozens of attempts since the 1970s to display a captive great white shark. Most of those attempts ended with dead sharks.
By the 2000s, the only group still trying was the Monterey Bay Aquarium, which spent a decade planning its white shark program. In 2004, it acquired a shark that became the first great white to survive in captivity for more than 16 days. In fact, it was on display for more than six months before it was released back into the ocean.
In the following years, the Monterey Bay Aquarium hosted five more juvenile white sharks for temporary stays before ending the program in 2011. It was an expensive effort and had come under criticism due to injuries that some of the sharks developed in the tank.
Responding to those critics, Jon Hoech, the aquarium's director of husbandry operations, said: We believe strongly that putting people face to face with live animals like this is very significant in inspiring ocean conservation and connecting people to the ocean environment. We feel like white sharks face a significant threats out in the wild and our ability to bring awareness to that is significant in terms of encouraging people to become ocean stewards.
Check out the video above to learn why white sharks are so difficult to keep in captivity and how the Monterey Bay Aquarium designed a program that could keep them alive.
