SECRET OF THE SKARNU STREET

Graphic animation.
Detective Story invites you to peek behind the scenes of art as you plunge into an adventure and mystery world on the other side of the OLD WALL. With the help of metaphysical painting, which connects the unreal with the absurd reality, everyone has the possibility of being in four dimensions simultaneously. You just have to let go of your imagination and play the role of a detective trying to expose the night crime in Skarnu Street.
Metaphysical painting is also the beginning of surrealism. It is an art for those who like order and paradox, whereby the essence of walking is perceived not by reason, but by intuition. The absurd perspective created by the author allows the visitor to get into four perspectives, one of which is his own and tries to solve the puzzle.
The artist, scenographer and interior designer Agnese Melbārde has worked with Rihards Zaļupe, the composer, brilliant marimba and percussion virtuoso in Latvia, to realize the fourth joint project. Their collaboration is a very remarkable combination because they speak without words, only through painting / graphics and through music - through emotions.
I think spatially and each of my picture / graphic stories needs two elements - the space and the story I want to talk about. The designer should always think positive - always create a space that is comfortable and comfortable for the person. By contrast, I can use painting to express my creativity better, it has a magic that I can not explain, it just captures a wave of inspiration and lets me be influenced by the environment, says Agnese.

Galleria HAPPY ART MUSEUM presenta la mostra PH Frankenstein di grande fotografo italiano Giordano Morganti, 5 Luglio - 5 Agosto 2012. *
Gallery HAPPY ART MUSEUM presents Italian photo master Giordano Morganti exhibition PH FRANKENSTEIN, 5th July - 5th August 2012. Giordano Morganti (was born in Milan in 1956) is the significant master of physiognomic. Giordano has more than 30 years of experience of picturing famous persons, such as Dustin Hoffman, Kirk Douglas, Borges, Amado, Francesca Neri, Ornella Muti, Lou Reed, Vasco Rossi, Ettore Sotsass, Grace Jones, Mario Schiffano, Francesco Cossiga, Françoise Mitterand, and others.
Giordano had working collaboration with Vogue, Harpes, Bazar, Stern, Sette, Il Venerdi di Repubblica, and other journals. In his works Giordano addresses heavy and delicate social themes -- psychiatric hospitals, children with the Down syndrome, homosexual and lesbian love and self-expression, persons on the streets, whose fate has turned away from them.... He believes in purpose of his art -- to battle with social stereotypes, ignorance and arrogance...
The demiurge of the moment of truth, he reflects the faces, which do not recognise behavioural or ritual limitations, leaving in the air the question of what really 'normality' means.

GALINA MAKSIMOVA designer & building manager
HAPPY ART MUSEUM present. Dag Vidulejs created this video and graphical presentation
INTERIOR DESIGNER GALINA MAKSIMOVA recommended minimalism trend in design and architecture wherein the subject is reduced to its necessary elements. Minimalistic influenced design philosophy and Highest Technology Infrastructure in architecture. Interior design concepts for project expanded the ideas that could be expressed by very particularly organizing such basic elements as lines and planes. Modern, minimalist architectural designer focus on the connection between 2 perfect planes, elegant lighting, and careful consideration of the void spaces left by the removal of three-dimensional shapes from an architectural design. More attractive minimalistic home designs are not truly minimalistic, because these use most expensive building materials: concrete, natural stone, stainless steel, glass. and finishes and are larger. In minimalist architecture, interior design elements convey the message of simplicity. The basic geometric forms, elements without decoration, simple materials and the repetitions of structures represent a sense of order and essential quality. The movement of natural light in buildings reveals simple and clean spaces. High walls create the enclosed space and the stone floors used in house and courtyard show the continuality of interior and exterior. Concepts of simplicity transmit the ideas of freedom and essence of living.

How Art Nouveau influenced Modern Interiors
Just a small talk on how 'Art Nouveau' has influenced modern interiors.
Art nouveau in Antwerp-Belgium by Tiny Esveld
Read more here: Belgium is not only famous for its beer, but also for Victor Horta and Henry van de Velde and many other art nouveau artists. In Antwerp there's a part of town where you can find more then one hundred art nouveau houses in just a few streets. The main street is named the Cogels-Osy lei in the district Berchem. All the houses are from the belle-epoque, built between 1881 and 1914. It is a pleasure to see the mosaic tiles in the façades à la Mucha or the balconies in iron with the fluid jugendstil lines. You can spend several hours in these streets and then you haven't seen it all. A great idea for a citytrip.
Rundale palace 2016-04-24
The name of Rundāle comes from the German place-name Ruhenthal (Valley of Peace).
The Rundāle Palace built during the 16th century was located on the northern side of the pond. It can be seen in the design of F. B. Rastrelli as a small square field with towers in the corners. Rundāle Manor was already created at the end of the 15th century. It belonged to the Grotthus family from 1505 to 1681 and the palace was mentioned in the list of Livonian castles in 1555. Facade finishing components have been found in the territory of the palace – cast fragments and fragments of coats of arms carved in stone dating to the middle of the 17th century. In 1735 Ernst Johann von Biron bought the Rundāle property for 42 000 thalers.
The old palace was completely torn down, and the stones, bricks and even the mortar were used in the construction of the new palace.
Duke Ernst Johann died in 1772, and the palace was inherited by his widow Duchess Benigna Gottlieb; during her time orchards were formed around the palace. Duke Peter did not come to Rundāle often, he mostly resided in the smaller Vircava Palace near Jelgava.
In 1795 Duke Peter gave up his throne and the Duchy of Courland and Semigallia was added to the Russian Empire. Catherine II gave Rundāle Manor as a present to Count Valerian Zubov who died in 1804. During the distribution of inheritance Rundāle became the property of his brother Prince Platon Zubov, the last favourite of Catherine II.
During the time of Zubov the palace was refurnished, however the building itself remained untouched, only entrance porticos were added to the central building and several fireplaces were built inside. The palace was demolished in 1812 during the Franco-Russian War – mirrors were smashed, silk wallpaper was torn down, the library given as a present from Catherine II was destroyed.
Prince Platon Zubov died in Rundāle Palace on 7 April 1822. His widow married Count Andrey Shuvalov, and Rundāle Manor belonged to this family until the agrarian reform of the Republic of Latvia in 1920. The Shuvalovs rarely stayed in the palace, excluding the time period from 1864 to 1866 when Count Pyotr Shuvalov was the governor-general of the Baltic region and used Rundāle Palace as his official summer residence. During this time unsuccessful renovation of the palace rooms was carried out, however during the 1880’s careful renovation of the interior design was performed. At the end of the 19th century part of the palace’s furniture and works of art was taken to Saint Petersburg.
During the time from 1915 to 1918 a German army commandant’s office and an infirmary was established in the palace. In 1919 the palace was demolished by the men of the Bermondt-Avalov army.
The palace was renovated in 1923 and some of its rooms were used as the primary school of Rundāle Parish. In 1924 Rundāle Palace was handed over to the Latvian Union of Disabled Veterans, but in 1933 it was taken over by the Board of Monuments which started the renovation of the building and the restoration of some of the rooms, and the western building was constructed for the needs of the primary school. In 1938 the palace was handed over to the State Historical Museum that was planning to create a church art and decorative art museum there. The palace was also open to the public during World War II. In 1945 a grain storage was formed in the halls of the palace, and the palace was closed to the public after that.
In 1963 some of the palace’s rooms were given to the Museum of Regional Studies and Art of Bauska, but in 1972 a permanent Rundāle Palace Museum was created and its main aim was to renew the whole ensemble of the palace by mainly orientating towards the condition of the palace during the second part of the 18th century. The first restored rooms in the eastern building of the palace were opened to the public in 1981, gradually being followed by new interiors. Restoration of the palace was finished in 2014.
