RobMerica visits George Washington's bathtub in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia.
Dubbed America's only outdoor monument to Presidential bathing, this site was first visited by the General when he was just 16 years old. He would eventually buy property in the town, ultimately creating America's first hot springs resort.
Ridge State Trout Hatchery - Berkeley Springs, West Virginia- by Dan Gritsko
One of my favorite places to visit when traveling through Berkeley Springs West Virginia, is make a stop at the Ridge State Fish Hatchery. You can see trout of various sizes including: fingerlings, larger ones, those about a foot long, and breeder trout pictured here. These two ladies love fishing, and it was great to take a walk around the pools on a pretty day. Come have a look when you are in the area, camping at Cacapon State Park, or just want to enjoy this cool place.
I've been a big fan of trout growing up with my Dad and Grandfather who were both trout fisherman. Dad taught me how to trout fish in and around Buffalo, New York. My Grandfather, known as 'Granddaddy' - took me as a youngster in the streams around Bedford, PA. Although I'm often too busy to do it, one of my favorite things to do is to trout fish.

Berkeley Springs Pair of Park Treasures
Berkeley Springs is overflowing with state park treasures — and each of the pair is distinctive.
Berkeley Springs State Park in the heart of town has been attracting visitors seeking healing to come “take the waters” for nearly 300 years. With a spa, historic Roman Baths, swimming pool, museum and spring pools open 24/7, there is no other park like it. The surrounding historic town is a bonus!
Cacapon State Park is a 6000 acre wilderness wonderland with an exquisite 18-hole golf course, sand beach lake, miles of mountain hiking trails, cabins, a lodge and more. When visitors seek outdoor adventure in a mountain environment, Cacapon is the place they go — and it’s just 10 miles south of town.

Bannack, Montana - a ghost town
Bannack is a ghost town in SW Montana near the Idaho state line. This was a winter walk around this old mining town, full of log cabins, poured glass windows, mining equipment, The Meade Hotel, and an old school house.
