BORDER PATROL WAS CLOSED
Saying goodbye to my friends at the Suerte vista camp excusion. It is never easy saying goodbye to your friends. I heard about the border patrol check point leaving Alpine, Texas. So I decided to wear the bear suit for fun. As I approached the checkpoint I noticed the patrol cars were there but the gate was open to traffic. Meaning they were not checking cars. It was a bummer.
I then proceeded to head to Marfa Texas to see what the Prada store was all about. Martha Texas is a small quaint town in West Texas. There wasn’t much to it. Lots of little shops and cafes.

SRSU Campus Carry
Taskforce Listening Session
On June 1, 2015, Gov. Greg Abbott signed SB 11, also known as the “campus carry” law providing concealed handgun licensees to carry licensed handguns on public university campuses starting August 1, 2016.
To learn more about SB 11 aka “Campus Carry”:
sulross.edu/campus-carry
Sul Ross State University and President Bill Kibler take issues surrounding guns on campus very seriously and will strive to create policies that conform to the new law, protect the rights of citizens, and ensure the safety and security of the entire campus.
SB 11 stipulates that universities may enact reasonable rules and regulations after consulting with students, staff and faculty. The law requires that the rules must not either “generally prohibit” or “have the effect of generally prohibiting” license holders from carrying concealed handguns on campus.
President Kibler established a Campus Carry Taskforce that will recommend to him SB 11 implementation policies by the end of December. All campus policies and guidelines will be communicated clearly to students, faculty, and staff before they are implemented.
The Taskforce is interested in hearing from you. Join us to provide your comments in person to the Taskforce. Feel free to bring a brown bag lunch with you.

I'm a bit skeptical about riding this elevator since I had a bad experience with Series 5 Gen2, but in conclusion, these ride better than that crappy 2 story elevator.
Marfa, Texas / Cheap RV Living / Tumble In RV Park Review
Marfa Texas was cool. The Marfa Lights, Prada Marfa and Marfa Burrito were not to be missed, as these were all bucket list items for us. This is a very minimalist town so don't try to find your way around with flashy signs. And Wednesday thru Saturday are the best days to visit. Most businesses are closed Sunday-Tuesday.
Prada Marfa was about 30 min outside of Marfa in a town called Valentine, TX. There's not a lot on the way expect beautiful scenery and photo ops. Sounds like a perfect afternoon!
Not everything in Marfa is expensive. It's ok to pass on the expensive restaurants here and head straight for Marfa Burrito and Pizza Foundation. The food trucks are amazing as well. Of course if you want a fancy dinner, go for it. But, I promise, you will love these cheaper suggestions just as much.
The Marfa Lights... What can we say that hasn't already been said. They're an unexplained phenomenon worth checking out. And really, it's not explainable but very cool. Hard to capture on video since they're so far away but, we'd recommend going out of your way to see them! You can park overnight w/ your rig at the viewing area, also.
