DUBLIN, IRELAND-What to See, Where to Drink! (with Irish History and Great Irish Music)
Dublin, Ireland is a vibrant city with a lot of cool things to see and do. There's a lot of great history in the Irish capital. We visited (in chronological order) Christ Church Cathedral, Molly Malone Statue, Kilmainham Gaol (Jail), Dublin Castle, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Trinity College (Long Room and Book of Kells), Pubs, St. Stephen's Green, Grafton Street, O'Connell Street, and some would say I saved the best for last-a tour of the #1 tourist attraction in Ireland, the Guinness Storehouse, and a tour of the Old Jameson (Whiskey) Distillery. 6 THINGS TO DO IN DUBLIN
One of the oldest cities in Europe, Dublin was urban center full of culture and character. Here are 10 things to do and see.
1. Trinity College Long Room and Book of Kells,
The old Library In the 18th century you will find the Long Room, which no doubt is one of the most impressive library space in the world, and some of Ireland's most cherished relics. Wooden harp here, dating from the 15th century, has become a symbol of Ireland which is visible from the Guinness logo until Ireland coins. One of the few copies of the proclamation of the Republic of Ireland in 1916 can also be seen here. Absolute and should be seen by all visitors of Dublin. And this Dublin Guide.
2.The Museum's Little Dublin
Dublin is an ancient city, but the life and culture of the inhabitants are the more modern same Interestingly with the Viking past. No place is more fun to explore it than the Little Museum of Dublin. Like a museum, its collection is located in the Georgia town that is filled with artifacts, stories, and exhibitions of 20th-century life in the city
3.Kilmainham Gaol
Tasteful, spacious and quiet, an empty jail was Kilmainham Gaol in Europe and has a lot of stories on the walls were thick and cold. During the operations of the year 1796 until 1924, the prison involves ordinary criminals including men, women, and children in addition to the many prominent political figures in Ireland.
4.Dublin Castle and the Chester Beatty Library
Dublin Castle is an ancient fortress of the Vikings. Look under the Fort to explore the trenches and fortifications, then appeared to take a walk in the beautiful garden. Since the year 2000 the ramparts have been accommodating, Chester Beatty Library collections of books, manuscripts, and art from around the world that supply, dubbed the European Museum of the Year Award.
5. Ireland Emigration Museum EPIC

This interactive museum in Dublin's Docklands explores why, however, and suffered 10 million epic journeys.
6. St Stephen's Green Park
A green gem in the heart of Dublin, St. Stephen's Green is the perfect place to stop and smell the flowers. However, people have been doing it for 400 years. Currently, the park retains most of the elements of design Victoria commissioned by Sir Arthur Guinness, who restored the private green briefly and reopen the city of Dublin in the year 1880.

Hi Everyone! Hope you all are well. Today I'm bringing you something completely different, something that has been a long time coming, my very first vlog. As many of you know I'm Irish but when someone new comes across my channel I can almost guarantee you that it's the first thing that they will comment on. I receive so many comments about the country in which I live and I think there is such a keen interest because the vast majority of my subscribers reside outside of Ireland. Due to this I've decided to incorporate some new, fresh content onto my channel in the form of travel vlogs. I'm going to be taking you on an 'Irish Adventure' :) My aim is to film a travel vlog in each county in Ireland to give you a taster for what this beautiful country has to offer. I love my country and I'm so proud to be Irish so I hope you'll enjoy this new series on my channel.
PS: Don't worry, these vlogs are in addition to my makeup tutorials. These vlogs won't be frequent as they are expensive and time consuming to create but i'll let you know when the next installment is coming up!
I've started with Dublin and throughout the course of this video I've showed you some of my favourite places in the city. I began by taking you along on a trip around the Guinness Storehouse, the place where the famous 'Guinness' beer is brewed. I studied business for five years in DIT on Aungier Street so I'm very familiar with the Grafton St/Temple Bar/Stephens Green area. These are places I loved to potter around and still do, despite the fact I'm not up in Dublin as often anymore because I finished college last year. Grafton Street is one of the most famous streets to shop on in Ireland. It runs from St Stephen's Green, the historical park and gardens are just across the road! As I mentioned in the video there is always a bit of a buzz around, particularly in Temple bar. Temple bar is such a unique area in the city, the cobbled streets are lined with bars and boutiques and it's an area I love, especially at night time! I decided to throw in a few clips from a YSL event I went to so that the vlog would relate back to makeup in a way. The event was for their Summer '16 collection and boy was there some amazing products on show, if you like YSL you're in for a treat!
I'm not fully comfortable with speaking to the camera just yet which is why there was only a small chatty segment in this vlog. I'd like my vlogs to be more so artistic but I'm hoping to add in some more chatty bits. Fingers crossed that the more I film the more comfortable i'll feel with talking to the camera haha!
I've stayed in many many hotels in Dublin over the years, I love finding hidden gems in the city. I came across the Ashling Hotel when I was looking up tickets for the Guinness Factory and I noticed on the site that the hotel do package deals. I can't remember exactly how much I paid for my one night stay but I do know it was a good deal taking into consideration the nights stay and the fact that tickets to the Storehouse and breakfast were included. The hotel is only a stone's throw away from the Guinness factory so that was really handy! I'll leave a link to their offers page if you are looking for somewhere to stay while visiting Dublin. The staff were extremely friendly and overall I just couldn't fault it :)

Welcome to Dublin!
Like me before my trip, you might be asking yourself “what’s the appeal outside of the bars and all that Guinness?”. well firstly, this is a young person’s city; Dublin’s boasts Europe’s youngest population, where some 50% of people living here are under the age of 25. So yes, bars, nightlife, parties and Guinness are popular, though definitely not exclusive to this demographic. And while Dublin certainly does dabauchery famously, it’s only when you visit this old and beautiful city that you really see how the Republic of Ireland’s capital is way more than hedonistic haven for hen do’s and lad’s weekends away. Just take a mosey down the cobbled streets and it’s like nothing has changed over the last hundred odd years. The greatest thing about my time Dublin was realising that this city is one with a rich and colourful history. There’s a banging food scene, and of course, there are plenty of things to see and do during your trip. Coming up, I’m gonna tell you about transport, money and some of my favorite things to do, but first, let’s take a look at getting here.
The airport is 10km outside Dublin and is the only international airport serving the city. From here, your choices for transport to the centre are bus or a taxi, as there’s no train station at the airport.
Dublin airport’s Aircoach will take you to various locations across the city, so make sure you know which stop is nearest your hotel.
Dublin is compact, which means if you’re staying in the city centre, you can pretty much walk to everything. However, if you want to get around quickly, hop on a tram. The Lewes is Dublin’s tram system; there are two lines, red and green. And the walk from the end of the green line to the red line is about 15 minutes. Don’t forget to always tap in and tap out, otherwise you’ll get charged the maximum possible fare.
If you plan on making multiple journeys, we recommend getting a Leap Card. It’s Dublin’s public transport top-up smart card and you can get them at the airport or at local shops, wherever you see the sign.
Dublin’s nightlife is legendary, and Temple Bar is the centre of it all. Yes, it’s where all the tourists go, but Temple Bar is packed with pubs, bars, live music and clubs. If you want to have a great night out in Dublin, this is where to go.
Written by Irish monks around 800AD, the Book is a decorated version of the Paul Gospels that’s kept at the centre of an exhibition in Trinity College. Just don’t expect a photo, as no cameras are allowed near the book, no even ours! However, our highlight has to be the Long Room, holding around 200,000 books, it’s a vast collection that seems to go on and on and on and on and on and on and on, forever.
Next is Kilmainham Gaol, a former Irish prison that held many of the revolutionaries of the past, in particular, the leaders of the 1916 Easter Rising. Abandoned in 1924 and restored in the 1960s, it now serves as a museum where you can learn all about the history of Irish independence. The gaol is 3 and a half kilometers out of the city centre, so you’ll need to get the Luas or the bus here. Tickets are available online, you book your timeslot and the website recommends arriving 15 minutes before your tour is due to start. Because the museum can only take a limited number of people at a time, booking ahead is the only way to guarantee entry on the day.

So this week we're excited to be exploring Dublin and we're planning to spend an entire week here. This video is going to highlight 25 things to do around the city. Dublin is where most trips in Ireland begin, so before seeing the rest of the country, Audrey and I spent a whole week getting to know the capital. When the weather cooperated we walked around the city, toured Trinity College, and visited the botanical gardens, and when it poured rain as it often does in this part of the world, we just popped into a pub for some Irish stew and a pint of Guinness. Trinity College was founded in 1592 and it is the oldest university in Ireland. The campus is open to visitors interested in touring the grounds, and you'll also get to hear some fascinating stories of famous students, including the likes of Oscar Wilde, Jonathan Swift, and Bram Stoker.
The Guinness Storehouse is Dublin's most popular attraction, and it's a must-visit for beer lovers. The Storehouse covers seven floors surrounding a glass atrium shaped like a pint of Guinness. Inside you'll also find a copy of the 9,000 year lease signed by Arthur Guinness on the brewery site - they won't be going anywhere for a while!
Grafton Street is one of the main shopping areas in Dublin. You're likely to find lots of musicians, buskers, and performers along here, plus you get a good vantage point of The Spire.
Prior to the establishment of Glasnevin Cemetery, Irish Catholics had no place of their own to bury their dead. This burial ground gave both Irish Catholics and Protestants a place where they could give their dead dignified burial, and it has since become the resting place for people of all religions and non religions.
Experience Gaelic Games is a place where you can come and try traditional Irish sports like hurling and Gaelic football.
The Old Jameson Distillery is the original site where Jameson Irish Whiskey was distilled until 1971. It is now a visitor centre that offers both guided tours and whiskey tastings.
Temple Bar is an area known for its lively nightlife. Located on the southbank of the River Liffey, you'll find all sorts of pubs playing live music once the sun goes down. There's also one pub in Temple Bar, called The Temple Bar, but don't let that confuse you.

Tag along with my wife and I from the international streets of Dublin to the breathtaking Dingle Peninsula and beyond. We stayed in a castle, road horses, hung out with falcons, visited the Guinness Storehouse, ate the best ice cream we’ve ever had, hiked along the legendary Cliffs of Moher, and enjoyed some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. American Driving in Ireland ???????????? (Dublin to Galway)
Being from the states means I only know how to drive on the right side of the road. Being from New York City means I barely drive to begin with. Well, I got to experience what it was like to drive on the left side in Ireland. Caroline and I ventured to Galway, Ireland from Dublin to meet up with our friends Mitko and Sarah to spend a few days in the Irish countryside together.
BUT, I must admit, you're about to watch me drive manual for the third time in my life. Sure, we made it to Galway, but not without a little stress and far too many stall outs on the road. Whoops!
Anyway, it was a great time once we got there and a wonderful learning opportunity.
