Great Siberia is Magnetizing [Nicholas Roerich Museum]
The Nicholas Roerich Museums (in Novosibirsk and Altai) are two of the ten museums on the planet dedicated to the creative works of the great Russian painter. Roerich attached immense significance to Siberia, having divined a great future for the region. In 1926 an expedition led by the painter stayed at Novosibirsk and Altai.
The two Museums are today particularly significant sites of historical Siberian culture.
The Nicholas Roerich Museums in Novosibirsk and Altai were created by the Siberian Roerich Society, which is an interregional cultural and educational organization. This was created on the initiative of the leader of the Society N. Spirina (1911 - 2004), a famous researcher of the Roerich family, poetess and novelist.
The museums are unique for being a ‘people’s construction’, although having appropriated a ‘social status’. The cultural activity of the museum is supported entirely by the charitable donations of the public.
The Museums also take part in the cultural activities of the city, by maintaining regular ‘Round Tables’, giving concerts and poetry readings, as well as holding teachers and educators meetings. Moreover, the Museums have their own functioning video studio and publishing center for SibRO “Rossasia”, which produce reproductions, albums, journals and books. There is also a book salon facility.

Novosibirsk (Russian: Новосибирск; IPA: [nəvəsʲɪˈbʲirsk]) is the third most populous city in Russia after Moscow and St. Petersburg and the most populous city in Asian Russia, with a population of 1,523,801 (2013 est.). It is the administrative center of Novosibirsk Oblast as well as of the Siberian Federal District. The city is located in the southwestern part of Siberia on the banks of the Ob River adjacent to the Ob River Valley, near the large water reservoir formed by the dam of the Novosibirsk Hydro Power Plant. and occupies an area of 502.1 square kilometers (193.9 sq mi). The city is informally known as the Capital of Siberia.

On 28 April 2017 Maliy Znamensky lane was marked by a Frontline, an invisible line which divided the 26 year history of the International Center of the Roerichs (ICR) into the period “before” and “after”.
In the past the International Center of the Roerichs and its non-governmental Museum named after Nicholas Roerich were recognized internationally, they organized travelling exhibitions, international scientific conferences, issued books and magazines... And now the Museum is destroyed by the Ministry of Culture and the Roerichs heritage seized.
It means that there should be a non-governmental control over the actions of the intruders here at Frontline. The documentary covers the history of the establishment of the non-governmental Museum named after Nicholas Roerich, its heyday and barbarous destruction. Please, help to spread the documentary, so that more people would know the truth about an unprecedented tragedy of our culture.

They are attempting to liquidate this non-governmental organization through forced bankruptcy by imposing enormous taxes and fines amounting to 60 million rubles. This ancient road - the first thread, connecting Russia and China many centuries ago. Continue on Chuysk - like having to cross the whole of Russia.
The path begins in Biysk, with birch groves and villages, one of which was born the writer Vasily Shukshin. And in a hundred kilometers, is to pass Gorno-Altaisk, it seems as if you find yourself in the time of development of Siberia: the stormy waters of Katun, rocky gorges and green valleys. Starting mountain taiga. You turn to the left - you will get to the Teletskoye Lake, to the right - to the magnificent Belukha, where Roerich Shambhala searched on the way to the Himalayas. From then until the beginning of XX century, it was just a mountain path, which was used by merchants and pilgrims journeyed to the sacred tree in the upper reaches of the Katun River. Wheeled road from Ongudai to Kosh-Agach (255 km) have arranged only by 1903. Today Chuiski - one of the few roads in the world, awarded his own museum. It is located in a building Biysk Local Lore Museum - here you can see archive documents and photos, surround the layout of the road, pictures and dioramas.
