Nagasaki Kunchi, a traditional event of 380 years in Nagasaki Japan | SHOT BY SONY A6500
Hi guys.
I made this video because I wanted as many people as possible to be interested in Japan.
This time, we will introduce one of Nagasaki's traditional events, “Kunchi”.
It is said that Nagasaki-kunchi began in 1634 when two prostitutes dedicated the song “Komai” in front of the Suwa Shrine.
The “votive dance” is a dance that is full of exoticism in Japan, China, the Netherlands, and so on.
The dancing town can be performed only once every seven years, and you can enjoy it for seven years.
I hope that a peaceful everyday life will continue.
And I pray that the world is peaceful.
Thank you!

Nagasaki Kunchi Festival | 長崎おくんち
October 6th was business as usual. Nothing out of the ordinary occurred. It's hard to believe that only one day later, all of Nagasaki came to life for a 3-day celebration: the Kunchi Festival | 長崎おくんち.
The festival dates back almost 400 years, and it celebrates Nagasaki's multicultural diversity.
After watching a handful of the first series of performances at Suwa Shrine, my friends and I went to try the street food at the Seaside Park.
After two more days of celebrations, business returned to usual. On October 10th, nothing out of the ordinary happened.
