Sun Yatsen Mausoleum in Nanjing, China
An astonishing sight at the top of an enormous stone stairway (a breathless 392 steps), Sun Yatsen's tomb is a mandatory stop for Chinese visitors. Reverentially referred to as guófù (国父; 'Father of the Nation'), Dr Sun is esteemed by both communists and Kuomintang. He died in Běijīng in 1925, and had wished to be buried in Nánjīng, no doubt with far less pomp than the Ming-style tomb his successors fashioned for him. Within a year of his death, however, construction of this mausoleum began.

STORYLINE:
Christianity in China is thriving, as Chinese people search for answers amid tumultuous economic and social changes in the country and Jiangsu province through which the Olympic torch is currently passing is no exception.
At this seminary in Nanjing, in eastern China's Jiangsu province, 22-year-old student Liu Guanqun is training to be a protestant vicar.
Liu studies theology, sings in the church choir, attends daily mass and studies in the library. He has absolute certainty that his life will be dedicated to God, and to teaching Chinese people about Christianity.
In China, there is room, and a platform for Chinese people like me to understand Christian beliefs and to help more people become Christians, explained Liu.
The seminary was founded in 1952, by China's governmental organisation, the Committee of Three-Self Patriotic Movement of the Protestant Churches.

Usher Log —— Mochoulu Church, Nanjing, China
VID_00000002.mp4
This is the Catholic Cathedral Nanjing, located on Shigu (Stone Drum) Road. This is a very historical part of Nanjing, the former capital of China. During the Ming Dynasty about 600 years ago, the great Jesuit evangelist Matteo Ricci visited this city and decided to build a church on this site. When the church was built, the Chinese Emperor has decided to shift his capital to Beijing in the north of China. Nevertheless, this still serves as one of the earliest churches in China. Burnt down and/or destroyed several times, and then rebuilt in a style grander than before each time, the Shigu Road Cathedral as it's commonly known as, is a major focal point for Christians between the late Qing dynasty and the early days of the Republic era. The building you see now is the latest version of the church rebuilt in the late 1970s after the devastating Cultural Revolution. It was repainted and renovated just a few years back. Obviously, the Cathedral is now not only enjoying a fresh coat of paint but also a new lease of life as the young in China becomes more interested in the message of Christ.

Shanghai Museum in the Huangpu District, China
The Shanghai Museum is a museum of ancient Chinese art, situated on the People's Square in the Huangpu District of Shanghai, China. Rebuilt at its current location in 1996, it is considered one of China's first world-class modern museums.
The museum was founded in 1952 and was first open to the public in the former Shanghai Racecourse club house, now at 325 West Nanjing Road. The museum's founding collections came principally from three sources: a batch of artefacts gathered by the Communist 3rd Field Army during the civil war from accidental finds and confiscations of private property and brought to Shanghai upon the Communists' conquest of the city; artefacts confiscated by the customs service; items sold by private collectors due to political pressure during political purges and purchased by the government. The former Shanghai Municipal Museum was also merged into the new Shanghai Museum.

Mausoleums, Most Important in the World IGEO TV]
Many cemeteries, beyond its funerary art, contain tombs of famous figures to attract pilgrims and curious sightseers from around the world to worship them. And although cemetery tourism is hardly known, it has many fans from all over the world. Without a doubt, death has always been something that appeals to the living and even more so, if it involves characters that have been adored in life.
The Taj Mahal, ordered to be built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, in order to serve as a tomb to store the remains of his wife Mumtaz Mahal in India. It was started to be built in 1632 and it took over 20 years to be finished. It has been one of the wonders of the world, and besides of being one of the most beautiful mausoleums, is one of the largest in the world.
The Giza Pyramids, located on the outskirts of Cairo, are one of the Seven Wonders of the World. They are, all the remains and legacies by the ancient Egyptians, the most magnificent and symbolic monuments of this civilization, and in particular, the three Great Pyramids of Giza are the tombs or cenotaphs of the pharaohs Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure, whose construction dates back to the Old Kingdom of Egypt.
The Mausoleum Antaturk is an impressive mausoleum dedicated to Ataturk, father of the Republic of Turkey, even though he was not very keen on ostentatious displays.
The Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum is in Nanjing city, capital of Jiangsu province in the People's Republic of China. It was built by architect Lu Yanzhi on the slope of Purple Mountain, between 1926 and 1929.
In the Mao Zedong Mausoleum you will find the tomb of the well-know Chinese President of the Communist Party from 1943 until his death in 1976, whose remains are exhibited to the public. At present, is a very popular attraction situated in Tiananmen Square, in Beijing.
In the Monastery of Saint Lawrence of El Escorial are buried all the Spanish Kings from
Charles V, except two: Fhilip V, who opted for the Royal Palace of La Granja de San Ildefonso to be buried next to his second wife, Isabel of Farnesio, and his son Fernando VI, who was buried by his wish in The Royal Salesas, which he founded with his wife, Barbara of Braganza.
Lenin Mausoleum is also known as Lenin's tomb. It was raised by orders of the Sovietic Government after his death in 1924. His embalmed body is on public display since then. The mausoleum is situated in Red Square, in Moscow.

Twin Pagoda Temple | Yongzuo Temple in Shanxi Province, China
The Twin Pagoda Temple (Chinese: 双塔寺; Pinyin: Shūangtǎsì), officially known as Yongzuo Temple (Chinese: 永祚寺; Pinyin: Yǒngzuòsì), of Taiyuan, Shanxi province, China, is a temple containing two pagodas dating from the Ming dynasty.
The East pagoda was built in 1597, and the West one in 1612. In charge of the pagoda’s construction was a high ranking monk, named Fodeng (佛灯). By the 20th century, deterioration since construction had caused the East pagoda to slant from its center of gravity by 2.87 meters. In 1995, experts set about trying to correct the slant. They removed earth from underneath the pagoda and successfully corrected the pagoda's tilt

Tomb of Emperor Jingdi | Han Jing Mausoleum, China
This tomb, also referred to as the Han Jing Mausoleum, Liu Qi Mausoleum and Yangling Mausoleum, is the burial place of the Han-dynasty emperor Jingdi (188–141 BC) and is quite possibly Xī’ān’s most underrated highlight. If you only have time for two sights outside Xī'ān, make it the Army of Terracotta Warriors and this impressive museum and tomb. Unlike the warriors, though, it's not inundated with visitors so you'll have elbow room to fully appreciate what you’re seeing.
